Highwings 80Gbps DisplayPort 2.1 Cable, 25 ft Braided, Up to 16K

The 25-foot length gives a DisplayPort setup more room for routing between a desktop or laptop and a monitor, while the braided jacket is designed for everyday handling. Highwings lists support for up to 16K at 60Hz with DSC, as well as 8K at 120Hz and 4K at 240Hz, for compatible equipment and settings.

It’s a male-to-male cable for video transmission, with a gray finish. The listed bandwidth is 80Gbps, the resolution and refresh rate you can use depend on the connected devices and their configuration.

Everyday use

This cable is intended to connect a DisplayPort-enabled computer directly to a monitor. Its length can suit a setup where the computer and display are not side by side, or where the cable needs to follow a longer route around a desk. For a short, close-range connection, a shorter cable may be easier to manage, this one is more relevant when extra reach is useful.

The listed high-resolution modes are capabilities, not a promise that every connected setup will run at those settings. The computer, graphics hardware, monitor, and selected display settings all need to support the mode in question. The product notes also advise selecting the monitor’s DisplayPort input and checking that the connection is fully seated if the display does not come on as expected. You’ll appreciate it if you want one long cable for a DisplayPort gaming or multimedia setup and your devices support the refresh rates you plan to use. Better avoided if you need a confirmed maximum resolution or refresh rate without first matching the computer and monitor capabilities.

Buyer feedback is generally positive about the cable’s construction, flexibility, length, and picture quality. Experiences with connectivity and speed are mixed, however, and some buyers report flickering or black screens. Those reports do not establish how the cable will perform in a particular setup, but they make it sensible to check the source, monitor input, and selected display mode if issues arise.

What’s included

The listed package includes one DisplayPort cable. There is no additional adapter or accessory specified, so this is a direct cable choice for equipment that already has compatible DisplayPort connections.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Highwings cable if the 25-foot reach addresses your layout and both ends of your setup use DisplayPort. Its listed support for high refresh rates and adaptive-sync technologies may suit gaming monitors, while the long braided format can also serve a more spread-out desktop arrangement. For a setup where stable operation at a specific resolution and refresh rate is essential, confirm that the computer and monitor support that mode and that the cable is suitable for the connection before relying on the maximum figures.
