Highwings TU-16K-DP-9FT DisplayPort 2.1 Cable, 80Gbps, Braided

A high-refresh gaming monitor setup calls for a DisplayPort connection that can handle demanding video modes. The Highwings cable supports bandwidth up to 80Gbps and resolutions and refresh rates including 4K at 240Hz, giving compatible desktops or laptops a direct link to a DisplayPort-equipped monitor.

Its round, gray cable has a double-braided nylon exterior, triple shielding, and gold-plated connectors. It’s designed for indoor or outdoor use and supports G-Sync and FreeSync configurations.

Size & fit

This is a male-to-male DisplayPort cable for connecting a compatible computer or graphics card to a display with a DisplayPort input. The product name lists a 3.3 ft cable, making it a practical format for a nearby desktop-to-monitor connection where you want to keep the cable route contained. Check that both devices have the required DisplayPort connections, supported video modes also depend on the connected source and display.

Compared with choosing a cable for a different connector type, this DP-to-DP design is intended for setups that already use DisplayPort, including gaming PCs and high-refresh monitors. That keeps the connection straightforward without adding another connector format to the setup.

Where it shines

For gaming and high-resolution video, the listed support spans 16K at 60Hz with DSC, 10K at 60Hz, 8K at up to 120Hz, and 4K at up to 240Hz. The cable also supports Dynamic HDR and DSC 1.2a, helping compatible equipment carry detailed picture information and HDR content over a DisplayPort connection. Its stated compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync makes it relevant to gaming setups using either of those display technologies.

The shielding and tinned-copper conductors are intended to support stable signal transmission, while the braided outer layer adds a physical covering around the cable. For example, a desktop PC beside a high-refresh gaming monitor can use it as a direct video connection for games or everyday multimedia. Buyers often praise its construction, picture quality, flexibility, and length. Feedback on connectivity and speed is mixed, and some buyers report flickering or black-screen issues, so the experience can vary by setup.
