Halloween Ends (2022) Collector's Edition Blu-ray, DVD and Digital
Product description
Some viewers want a focused horror watch, others want the payoff of a story that has followed Laurie Strode and Michael Myers for years. Halloween Ends is the 2022 finale to their confrontation. At 1 hour and 51 minutes, it brings the film and its bonus features together in a Collector's Edition with Blu-ray, DVD and a digital copy.
How it fits
Set four years after the events of Halloween Kills, the film finds Laurie living with her granddaughter Allyson and trying to move forward from a life shaped by fear and loss. Allyson is building a life of her own, while a young man named Corey becomes the focus of suspicion in Haddonfield after a tragic accident. As violence returns to the town, Laurie and Michael face a final confrontation. The story gives the series’ central characters a new chapter before its climactic showdown, making this edition a natural choice for viewers following the franchise’s later films.
The setup also shifts attention to Haddonfield’s wider community and the ways people respond to fear and blame. That gives the final chapter a different story thread alongside Laurie and Michael’s long-running conflict. For a Halloween movie night, its familiar characters and small-town setting suit viewers looking for a suspenseful franchise finale rather than an unrelated horror story.
Why it makes sense
The three viewing formats offer flexibility across Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy, while the bonus material adds context beyond the feature. Deleted and extended scenes provide additional footage, and featurettes including “Final Girl,” “No Place Like Haddonfield,” “Ending Halloween” and “The Visions of Terror” explore the film and its production. “Twisted Deaths” and “A Different Threat” round out the extras, and feature commentary includes co-writer and director David Gordon Green, actors Andi Matichak and Rohan Campbell, and members of the production team. The digital copy is subject to expiration, NBCUCodes.com has details.
Buyer reactions to the movie are divided. Some appreciate the plot’s direction and see it as a fitting conclusion, while others are less satisfied with the story, horror elements or acting. Playback feedback is also mixed, including reports of compatibility issues with standard DVD players. The formats and extras make the edition appealing to viewers who want more than the feature alone, while opinions on the film itself depend on individual taste.
