FOXWELL Y400US Dual-Lens Articulating Borescope, 0.25-Inch Probe, IPS Display
Product description
When an inspection is straight ahead, a simple forward view may be enough, when the area has edges or side walls to check, switching camera views can make a closer look more practical. The FOXWELL dual-lens articulating borescope is designed for that second kind of inspection.
Its 0.25-inch probe reaches into narrow spaces such as engine openings, HVAC vents, and pipes. The 5.3-foot flexible scope gives you room to guide the camera toward the area you need to examine.
Use the on-device display to view the inspection, then capture photos or video for later reference. With front and side cameras and an articulating probe, you can look around interior surfaces without relying on a forward-only view.
Usage tips
Guide the flexible probe gradually into the opening, using the front or side camera to inspect the surface in view. The dual-lens design is useful when a component, pipe, or wall cavity needs attention from more than one direction. For example, during an automotive inspection, the slim probe can pass through a narrow access point so you can examine an engine area on screen. The same approach suits HVAC spaces and industrial inspection tasks.
Adjustable LED lighting helps illuminate dark inspection areas, while the 4.3-inch IPS display lets you view the camera feed on the device. The probe is rated IP67, a practical feature for inspection work where water or dust may be present. Keep the camera within its stated operating conditions, the listed heat-protection system shuts the unit down above 70 °C.

Why it’s worth it
This scope combines access, viewing flexibility, and on-device inspection in one tool. Its narrow probe is suited to openings where a larger camera head may not fit, while the front-and-side lens setup helps you inspect nearby surfaces from different angles. A fixed-view camera can suit a basic straight-on check, this FOXWELL model is a more useful fit when the inspection calls for a view to the side as well.
The listed capture options let you save still images and video, and the USB-C interface supports charging and file transfer. Buyers have praised the image clarity and lighting, including for DIY automotive work. Feedback on the controls is mixed: some find them straightforward, while others mention difficulty navigating the menus.
Practical questions
Can I switch between front and side views? Yes. The dual-lens design lets you switch between the front-facing and side-facing cameras during an inspection.
What can I use the scope to inspect? Its listed applications include automotive and engine areas, HVAC, walls, pipes, and industrial spaces. The slim flexible probe is intended to reach into narrow inspection points.
What comes with the borescope? The listed contents are the articulating borescope, a 2-in-1 charging and data-transfer cable, a carrying case, a user manual, and two small tips.
Is it worth it?
A solid pick if you need to inspect confined spaces and want more than a forward-facing view. The slim flexible probe, switchable dual lenses, adjustable lighting, and built-in IPS screen make it well suited to automotive, HVAC, pipe, and industrial checks where seeing inside the space is central to the task.
