Samherome GP-001-6 Guitar Knob Pointers, Bronze Metal, for 3/8" USA CTS Pots

Why it makes sense

The bronze-plated metal pointers give each control knob a visible position marker, making it easier to see volume or tone settings while you play. They also add a classic bronze accent to the guitar, combining a functional detail with a subtle hardware update. For players who want to keep track of familiar settings as well as refine an instrument’s look, the pointers serve both purposes.

Use the markers to see where a control is set during a performance or while dialing in a tone before playing. Buyers also praise the appearance and fit on compatible American-made pots, and describe the bronze pointers as a welcome visual detail on Les Paul-style guitars.

What matters most

These pointers are designed for most USA Gibson Les Paul guitars with large 3/8" diameter shaft pots, including USA CTS pots. They do not fit smaller metric-size pots, so matching the pot size is the key compatibility check. Their size-specific fit makes them a focused choice for guitars with the stated pot type rather than a universal option for every electric guitar.

Made from metal with a bronze-plated finish, the round indicators add a classic detail around the control knobs. Their practical role is just as important: a visible marker helps you return to a preferred volume or tone position without relying only on memory. If your priority is simply changing a guitar’s appearance, decorative hardware without a position indicator may suit that goal, these pointers are useful when you also want to read the control setting at a glance.

Tips for day-to-day use

Before choosing these pointers, identify whether your guitar uses the large 3/8" shaft pots they are made for. That distinction matters because smaller metric pots use a different size. Once fitted to compatible controls, the indicators can help you keep track of settings as you adjust volume or tone during practice, rehearsal, or a performance. The bronze finish also gives the controls a coordinated accent, particularly when you want a classic look rather than a purely functional replacement part.
