Benebone 873244 Wishbone Eco Bone Dog Chew Toy, Small, Plant-Based, Real Bacon

For a small dog settling in for an indoor chew, the Benebone Wishbone Eco Bone combines a paw-friendly shape with real bacon flavor. Its plant-based material and sizing for modest chewers make it a focused alternative to heavier-duty chew toys, while the curved wishbone design gives dogs an easy form to grip.

Made and sourced in the USA, it is designed for adult dogs and everyday chewing, boredom relief, and mental stimulation.

Tips for day-to-day use

Offer the toy when your dog needs an engaging indoor activity, such as during a quiet break at home. The wishbone’s curved ends help a small dog hold it between its paws and settle into chewing, rather than chasing or batting a loose toy around. Real bacon flavor adds a food-inspired draw, and the compact Small size is intended for small dogs who enjoy chewing without needing a heavy-duty option.

The manufacturer describes this version as suitable for modest chewers and notes that it is not as tough as the Classic Benebones. For a power chewer, the brand points to its Classic line instead. Keep the toy away from households with peanut or other allergies, as advised by the manufacturer.

Why it’s worth it

This chew pairs a plant-based material with real bacon, rather than relying on a plastic-like flavor cue. That gives buyers looking for a plant-based chew a distinct material and flavor profile, while the familiar wishbone form addresses a practical everyday detail: a dog can brace the curved toy with its paws while chewing. Its intended uses also include boredom relief and mental stimulation, making it relevant for calm indoor activity.

Buyers often describe the toy as engaging and appreciate its texture, with some finding it softer than comparable chews. Durability feedback is mixed: some report that it lasts for months, while others say it wears sooner than they expected. That variation makes the intended chewing style an important part of choosing between this modest-chewer design and a more heavy-duty chew.

When it makes sense

Choose this Wishbone when you want a small dog’s indoor chew to be easy to grasp and flavored with real bacon. It is aimed at adult small dogs with modest chewing habits, and its plant-based construction provides a clear alternative to a conventional plastic or nylon-style chew. The shape is especially practical for a dog that likes to anchor a toy with its paws, while the chew-focused format offers a simple activity for quieter moments at home.

You’ll appreciate it if your priority is a compact, bacon-flavored chew for a modest chewer rather than a heavy-duty toy for a power chewer. The combination of plant-based material, a paw-friendly wishbone shape, and small-dog sizing gives this Benebone a specific role in a dog’s indoor toy rotation.
