fanxiang S101Q 2TB 2.5-Inch SATA SSD, 560 MB/s Read, 7mm

If you need a 2TB internal drive for a compatible laptop or desktop, the fanxiang S101Q combines a 2.5-inch form factor with a SATA III 6Gb/s interface. Its 3D NAND flash and SLC cache support read speeds up to 560 MB/s and write speeds up to 510 MB/s, making it a practical way to replace a hard drive or add solid-state storage.

The 7mm profile suits systems designed for a slim 2.5-inch SATA drive. Its shock-resistant design is another useful consideration for an internal drive in a computer that may be moved.

Getting the most from it

Use the S101Q in a laptop, desktop, or all-in-one computer with a compatible 2.5-inch SATA connection. The SATA III interface is backward compatible with SATA II and SATA, and the drive supports Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. Matching the drive’s form factor and interface to the computer helps make the upgrade straightforward.

For a computer still using a hard disk drive, switching to an SSD can help with faster boot-up, shutdown, and application loading. The SLC cache is designed to improve overall computer performance, while the 2TB capacity provides room for applications, documents, and other stored files on one internal drive. It also suits a setup that favors a single large-capacity drive over adding several smaller storage devices.

What you’ll notice day to day

The stated read speed is up to 560 MB/s, with write speeds up to 510 MB/s. Those figures give a useful reference when comparing this SATA SSD with a conventional hard drive or another SATA-based upgrade. In everyday use, the drive’s role is to store and retrieve files and support the computer’s operating system and applications, the actual experience depends on the system and workload.

Buyers often highlight easy installation and responsive speed, including quicker boot-ups. Feedback is mixed on reliability: some buyers report satisfactory use, while others describe drives failing prematurely. Some also mention recognition problems with certain 2.5-inch SATA III enclosures, so this drive is best matched to an internal SATA installation that meets the computer’s requirements.
