Compatibility & requirements

Connect the mouse pad to a USB power source to use its lighting, plug-and-play operation does not require a driver. A button on the pad controls the effects: press once to cycle through the lighting modes, double-press to adjust brightness, and press and hold for about three seconds to turn the lights on or off. The power-off memory function retains the last selected mode, so you do not have to choose it again each time you turn the lighting on.

The extended format is designed to give a keyboard and mouse shared space on the desk. That makes it a practical alternative to a compact mouse-only pad when you want one continuous surface across more of your setup. The white color and RGB effects also give the mat a visible role in the overall desktop arrangement.

Everyday use

For gaming, the smooth microfiber top provides a consistent surface for mouse movement, and the rubber base helps limit shifting during use. At a work desk, the broad layout creates room to position the keyboard and mouse together rather than separating them onto different surfaces. The waterproof surface helps protect against everyday spills and can be cleaned with water, making routine care simpler.

Lighting options include colorful, breathing, static, gradient, and flashing effects. Use a steady monochrome setting for a restrained look or switch to a more dynamic mode to bring color to a gaming setup. The button-based controls let you change the effect or brightness at the pad instead of relying on driver software. When storing it, roll the mat rather than folding or pulling it to help protect the lighting fibers.

Customer feedback is positive about the large format, appearance, and range of lighting, with some noting that the mat accommodates both a keyboard and mouse. Experiences with the lights and long-term durability are mixed, so these should be considered alongside the practical appeal of an extended surface and adjustable RGB effects.

When it makes sense

Choose the DR CATCH GE2-12W if you want a single large desk mat for work or gaming, plus lighting you can adjust directly on the pad. Its microfiber top, rubber base, waterproof surface, and USB-powered controls combine everyday mouse use with a customizable desktop look. It is especially suited to setups where a compact mouse pad would leave the keyboard and mouse on separate surfaces.
