Carlson Pet Products 6008 DS Compact Steel Dog Crate, Blue, Foldable

Everyday use

For puppy house training, a quiet indoor resting spot, or a crate that can travel in the car, the Carlson Pet Products 6008 DS offers a compact setup for small dogs and puppies. Its steel frame folds flat for storage or transport, while the removable, washable blue pan makes routine cleanup more manageable.

The single-door design keeps entry straightforward, and the multi-point locking system secures the door during everyday use. The crate is intended for smaller breeds and puppies up to 25 pounds.

Strengths

All-steel construction gives this crate a sturdy frame for use at home or on the go. When it is not needed, the fold-flat design helps save storage space, when a trip comes up, its portable format makes it easier to bring along than a crate intended to stay in one place. The dimensions are 24 inches long and 18 inches wide, making it a compact choice for a small dog's indoor space.

The removable pan lifts out for washing, a practical feature for everyday care and puppy training. The blue finish also offers a distinctive look compared with standard crate colors. Customer feedback often highlights the color and straightforward assembly, and some buyers describe using the crate for housebreaking puppies. Others report concerns about bent bars or chipping paint, so feedback on construction and durability is mixed.

What to know

This is a single-door, foldable metal dog crate with a removable tray. The listed size recommendation is extra-small to small dogs, with use intended for pets up to 25 pounds. Its 24-by-18-inch footprint can help you assess where it will sit in a room or vehicle, leave enough surrounding space to access the door and handle the crate comfortably.

For a crate that will remain set up in one location, a fixed design may suit that routine. The 6008 DS is more adaptable when storage and portability matter: it can fold flat between uses and is listed for indoor settings, kennels, pet day care, and travel. The pan is included, and the crate comes with an instruction manual.
