BumaiGo CM1001 Self-Adhesive Cat Scratch Mat, 78.7 x 15.8 in, Dark Gray

Some cat owners want a dedicated place for scratching, others need a flexible way to cover a favorite couch arm, wall corner, or door. The BumaiGo CM1001 is a single, self-adhesive mat that can serve either purpose indoors.

At 78.7 x 15.8 inches, it provides a long strip of scratching surface for furniture and other household areas. Its dark gray, carpet-like texture gives cats a spot to scratch while helping shield the surface beneath it.

Trim the sheet to fit the area you have in mind, then apply it where your cat tends to scratch. That cut-to-fit format makes it useful for more than a flat sofa panel.

Best use cases

Use the mat on a couch or sofa arm, along a wall, or on a door to create a designated scratching area near the spot your cat already favors. It can also be cut to size for corners, stair edges, cat trees, scratching posts, or cat houses. For example, a long strip can cover part of a wall while a smaller cut piece can be used to reinforce a cat tree or furniture edge.

The mat is intended for indoor cats and uses a cotton-blend and polyester material. Its 0.2-inch thickness gives the surface a carpet-like feel, making it a practical choice when you want a scratching area that fits into existing furniture rather than taking up a separate floor space.

Why it’s worth it

A single long sheet offers more flexibility than choosing a fixed-size pad for one particular spot. You can shape it around the furniture or surface that needs coverage, and the self-adhesive backing is designed for peel-and-stick installation. The manufacturer describes it as removable without leaving residue, making placement on household surfaces part of its appeal.

Need one scratching surface to work across different parts of a room? The sheet can be trimmed for multiple shapes and locations, so you can tailor the coverage to your setup. Buyers often mention that the mat is easy to apply and that their cats use it, feedback on adhesion and long-term durability is mixed. Those differences make placement and the specific surface important considerations when choosing where to use it.
