BOZZON AP14X29 Drywall Access Panel, 14 x 29 in, Paintable White Plastic

If you need to reach plumbing, wiring, or HVAC components behind drywall, the BOZZON AP14X29 provides a concealed access point. Its 14 x 29 in mounting size gives you a generous opening for service access. Choose it for a clean, built-in look, or use it to cover a wall or ceiling opening while keeping the area accessible. The paintable white plastic surface lets you coordinate the panel with the surrounding finish.

Key takeaways

This access panel is made from impact-resistant, UV-stabilized plastic designed not to fade or corrode. Its water-repellent surface suits residential or commercial drywall installations, including areas such as bathrooms, basements, and attics. Use it to cover an opening while preserving access to plumbing valves, electrical or internet wiring, TV and security connections, sprinkler systems, or HVAC components.

The hinged door opens up to 180 degrees or can be removed for access. The panel can be flush- or surface-mounted, and its lightweight design is easy to clean. Buyers often appreciate the panel’s fit, appearance, and glue-in installation approach. Feedback on operation is mixed: some find it easy to open and close, while others say it can be difficult to operate properly.

Usage tips

For installation, mark the cut line and prepare the drywall opening to match the 14 x 29 in mounting size. The overall panel size is 16 4/15 in x 31 2/9 in, so account for the full frame when planning its position. Apply sealant as directed, then press the panel into place, this design does not require screws. Follow the installation steps for the wall or ceiling surface, and allow the sealant to set as appropriate before using the door.

The white surface can be painted to blend with the surrounding wall or ceiling. A neat, well-positioned installation helps the panel cover the opening while keeping its door available for future access. For openings that need frequent servicing, consider how the door will swing and leave room for it to open fully or be removed.

Getting the most from it

Place the panel where it gives practical access to the service point behind the drywall. For example, an access door near plumbing valves can keep them reachable without leaving the wall opening exposed. The same approach works for concealing cable runs or HVAC and sprinkler access points. Because the door can open widely or come off, it supports both routine access and tasks that need a clearer opening.

Compared with a permanent cover that must be removed to reach what is behind it, this panel provides a dedicated door for access. Its paintable finish also helps when matching the cover to an existing room color is more important than keeping a contrasting white panel visible. Keep the opening and frame clear so the door can move as intended.

When it makes sense

The BOZZON AP14X29 is useful when a drywall installation needs a substantial access opening that can be covered neatly between service visits. It combines a 14 x 29 in mounting size with a hinged, removable door, giving installers and property owners a practical way to reach plumbing, wiring, and building systems while keeping the surrounding wall or ceiling finished. It’s a great fit if you want a paintable, water-repellent plastic panel for a residential or commercial drywall project.
