Bosch GLM100-23 BLAZE Laser Distance Measure, 100 Ft., Backlit Display

Tech summary

A backlit graphic display makes measurements easier to read in dim work areas, while the Bosch GLM100-23 measures distances up to 100 ft. with accuracy of ±1/16 in. Its compact design fits in a pocket, so it’s easy to carry between rooms or bring along for a home project. A rubber overmold covers key points of the housing, adding a practical grip for everyday measuring tasks.

The controls keep common functions straightforward: use one button to measure and another to round the result. The display shows measurements in meters, feet, or inches, with fractional or decimal formats. That flexibility is useful when you need to match a measurement to a project plan, a cut list, or the units used by someone else on the job.

Everyday use

For measuring across a room, checking wall dimensions, or planning a home improvement project, a laser measure offers a different approach from stretching a tape across the space. The GLM100-23 defaults to real-time measurement, adjusting the displayed distance as you move closer to or farther from the target. That makes it handy when you want to take a quick reading without managing a long tape at the same time.

The illuminated display supports work in low-light areas, and its large icons help keep the reading easy to see. The rounding button lets you adjust a result from 1/2 in. up to 1/32 in., giving you a choice of how finely to express the measurement. Its pocket-sized form also suits people who move between rooms or work locations and want a measuring tool close at hand.

Buyers frequently highlight the device’s accuracy, simple operation, compact size, and readable screen. Those qualities align with practical tasks such as checking dimensions during construction or measuring at home. If your work calls for quick distance readings and an easy-to-carry tool, a laser measure can be more convenient than handling a traditional tape for every measurement, a tape remains a familiar choice for tasks that involve physically laying it along an object.
