Inkerma 2-in-1 laser tape measure with 16-ft tape

For measuring a room, checking a wall, or handling a quick on-the-go job, carrying both a laser measure and a physical tape can save you from switching tools. The Inkerma combines a laser distance tool with a self-locking 16-foot tape, so you can choose the method that fits the space: use the laser for a span across a room, then pull out the tape for a shorter measurement where you want a physical reference. The listing gives the laser reach as 130 feet in the product name and 135 feet in the description, so that specification is not consistent.

Key specifications

The product pairs a laser measure with a 16-foot tape. The description states laser accuracy within 1/8 inch and lists meters, inches, feet, and feet-plus-inches as selectable units. A backlit LCD displays readings, while the laser switches off after 30 seconds of inactivity and the device powers down after 120 seconds. It uses replaceable AAA batteries and is specified as a Class II laser with less than 1 mW output.

The physical tape locks automatically when extended, which is handy when taking a measurement one-handed or marking a short span without having to hold the tape blade in place. A belt clip and hand strap support carrying it between jobs. Those details make the tool more flexible than a laser-only device, though the laser range discrepancy is worth noting if the maximum distance is central to your decision.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you measure rooms, apartments, buildings, or storage areas and want both a quick laser reading and a conventional tape in one handheld tool. For example, you could stand at one side of a room and use the laser to check the distance across it, then use the tape to measure a cabinet edge or another shorter span. The four unit choices also help when you need to switch between feet and inches or metric readings.

Not the best choice if you need a clearly confirmed laser range before buying, or if your work depends on a tape longer than 16 feet. The product details do not resolve the 130-foot versus 135-foot laser claim, and the supplied information does not describe additional measurement functions beyond distance measurement and the listed unit options.

What’s included

The package lists the Inkerma 2-in-1 laser tape measure, a hand strap, two AAA batteries, and a user manual. The tape’s belt clip is built into the device, so it is not a separate accessory. Having batteries included means it can be set up without sourcing that battery type first, while the replaceable design lets you swap them when needed.

Questions before you buy

Does it use metric and US units?

Yes. The listed settings include meters, inches, feet, and feet plus inches. The description does not explain how unit selection works, beyond noting that the device supports switching.

Does the laser stay on continuously?

No. The laser is listed as shutting off after 30 seconds of inactivity, and the device itself powers down after 120 seconds. That behavior may help limit unnecessary battery use, but you may need to reactivate it between measurements.

Are batteries included?

Yes. The package contents list two AAA batteries, and the batteries are replaceable.

When it makes sense

Choose this format when your measuring tasks vary between room-scale distances and shorter spans that are easier to check with a physical tape. The self-locking blade, belt clip, backlit display, and included batteries make it a practical setup for moving between measurement tasks. If you only need a basic tape, the laser function may add complexity you won’t use, if exact laser reach is a deciding factor, the conflicting range figures make this listing harder to assess.
