Vteyeya 5x6 ft Clear PVC Tarp with Grommets, Waterproof Patio Cover

At 5x6 ft, this clear PVC tarp offers a compact cover for a porch, garden area, or chicken coop. Its stated 80% transparency lets light pass through while keeping the covered area shielded from rain and wind. Grommets and reinforced edges are included in the product details, giving you attachment points for setting it up as a temporary outdoor barrier or cover.

It is waterproof, but not fully transparent: the listed transparency is 80%, so it may not provide a completely unobstructed view.

The size is the key choice to make before buying. Consider the area you want to cover and how it will attach, the listed dimensions describe the tarp itself, not the surface it can fully enclose once secured. The clear format is useful when you want a barrier without blocking as much daylight as an opaque cover. The product is also described for patio, greenhouse, garden, and coop use, but the listing does not specify a particular mounting method or hardware beyond the grommets.

How to use it

Use the grommets to secure the tarp over or alongside the area you want to protect. For a porch, it can serve as a clear enclosure against wind and rain, in a garden, it can cover plants while allowing light through. It is also presented for chicken coops and as a winter window covering. Match the 5x6 ft size to the intended area before setting it up, and choose an attachment approach that suits the structure. The product information does not give a load rating or specify how it performs in severe weather, so those details should not be assumed from the waterproof description alone.

Everyday use

This is a more light-friendly alternative to an opaque tarp when visibility and daylight matter, such as covering outdoor seating or protecting a small garden space. A practical use might be securing it along a porch opening to reduce exposure to drafts while retaining some view outside. Its 80% transparency still means the view will be less clear than through a window, and the fixed 5x6 ft format may not suit a larger opening without additional coverage.

Buyer feedback is mixed on clarity and durability. Some customers say they can see through it and appreciate its protection from wind and rain, while others find it less clear than expected or report tearing around the edges. Opinions also vary on quality, sizing, and grommet placement. That makes careful sizing and secure installation especially relevant, the positive comments should not be taken as a guarantee of long-term performance.

Buying verdict

It’s a great fit if you need a clear, waterproof cover in a 5x6 ft format for a porch, garden, or similar area, and want more daylight than an opaque tarp would allow. Better avoided if you need fully transparent visibility or a specifically rated solution for demanding weather, since neither is established by the available product details. The stated transparency, size, and mixed durability feedback are the main factors to weigh before choosing it.
