48 x 24 x 2-Inch Egg-Crate Acoustic Foam Panels, Black, 2-Pack

For a home office where your voice sounds reflective on calls, or a small recording space where echo absorption is the goal, these black egg-crate foam panels are intended to treat the room’s sound rather than add another piece of equipment. The listing specifies a two-panel pack, with each panel measuring 48 x 24 x 2 inches.

The foam is described as high-density polyurethane and flame-retardant. Those details help identify the material and intended use, but the listing does not provide a sound-isolation rating or quantified acoustic results.

Are you looking to soften reflections in a room, or to keep sound from traveling between rooms? That distinction matters when choosing acoustic panels.

Highlights

The main use stated for these panels is echo absorption in a home office or studio. Their egg-crate surface and 2-inch thickness distinguish them from a flat, thin wall covering, while the two large panels give you a defined amount of coverage to plan around. The product description identifies the foam as high-density polyurethane and says it is odorless, non-toxic, and flame-retardant. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results supplied with the listing.

The title uses “soundproof” and “noise canceling,” but the documented purpose is echo absorption. No test data is provided to show how much sound they absorb or whether they reduce noise passing through a wall. If your priority is sound isolation, look for a solution with specifications for that job rather than relying on the product name alone.

Quick sizing guide

Each panel measures 48 x 24 x 2 inches, and the pack contains two. Before choosing a placement, consider the wall area you want to treat and how the panels’ rectangular footprint fits around desks, monitors, or other items in the room. The listed size describes the panels, not a guaranteed amount of room coverage or a recommended layout.

This format makes sense when you want to cover selected wall sections with fewer, larger panels. Smaller pieces may be easier to arrange around tight or irregular spaces, a more extensive treatment plan may be preferable if you need to address several walls. The listing does not give a recommended panel count for a particular room size.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a home-office setup, you could position the panels in the area you want to treat for echo, such as a wall near the desk or call setup. In a recording space, decide which sections are relevant to your intended use before planning around the two-panel quantity. The product information does not specify an attachment method, so check what mounting approach is appropriate for your surface rather than assuming hardware or adhesive is included.

It’s a great fit if you want black, egg-crate polyurethane foam in large panels for a home office or studio and can plan placement around the supplied dimensions. Keep expectations tied to the stated echo-absorption purpose, there are no measured performance figures in the provided details.

When it makes sense

Choose this pack when the job is targeted echo absorption and the 48 x 24 x 2-inch panel format suits the space. It may not suit you if you need documented sound blocking, a specific acoustic rating, or a known installation system, since those details are not provided. Compared with a sound-isolation approach, these panels are presented for treating echo within a room—not as a verified way to stop sound moving between rooms.
