Arrow Video For a Few Dollars More 4K UHD Western Film

When choosing a Western, you might want a film with a place in a wider story rather than a title with no connection to its era. Arrow Video’s For a Few Dollars More is presented in 4K UHD and follows Sergio Leone’s A Fistful of Dollars, bringing Clint Eastwood’s Man with No Name back to the centre of a film that helped establish the character as a genre icon.

What you’ll notice day to day

The 4K UHD format gives this release a clear place in a home film collection, while the film’s connection to A Fistful of Dollars makes it especially relevant to viewers exploring Leone’s Westerns. Its appeal is not limited to following a familiar title: For a Few Dollars More was the next film in the story of how Eastwood’s Man with No Name became a defining Western character. It suits a planned film night as well as a collection built around landmark Westerns, directors or performers.

Highlights

Directed by Sergio Leone, For a Few Dollars More followed A Fistful of Dollars in 1965, the year after the earlier film introduced audiences to a new, edgier breed of Western. The follow-up helped show that the first film was not a one-off, and further established Eastwood’s Man with No Name as a genre icon. That background gives the film a distinctive place for viewers interested in the development of the Western and in the influence a successful screen character can have on a genre.

The title’s 4K UHD presentation is the key format detail for choosing this edition. It makes the release a natural fit for a 4K UHD film collection, while the Arrow Video branding identifies the release. Rather than choosing a Western solely as a standalone watch, buyers can select a film with a direct link to the preceding A Fistful of Dollars and to the wave of imitators that followed its impact. The result is a considered pick for anyone building a viewing sequence around Leone’s films or tracing Eastwood’s best-known Western persona.

Best use cases

Choose it for a Western film night when you want a title with clear historical context, or add it to a collection centred on Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood. It also works well as the next viewing after A Fistful of Dollars: the release follows that film chronologically and continues the story of the Man with No Name’s rise as an iconic character. If your collection is organised by format, its 4K UHD designation makes it straightforward to place alongside other releases in that format.
