The story’s unsettling fantasy premise gives the film a clear appeal for viewers drawn to dark, imaginative cinema. Barker’s role as both writer and director shapes a single vision of a world that feels strange and threatening, while the central question of who deserves to be called a monster gives the story a theme to follow beyond its nightmare setting. It is a useful choice when you want a feature film with a distinctive premise for a focused evening’s viewing, or a title to revisit as part of a collection of Barker’s work.
The edition is identified as 4K UHD Blu-ray, so it is suited to viewers choosing that format rather than shopping for a standard Blu-ray release. Its Region Free designation is also useful when regional coding is a consideration. For playback, use a 4K UHD Blu-ray player, the disc format and the player need to match.
What it works with
This release is a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc marked Region Free. Play it on a compatible 4K UHD Blu-ray player, using a screen connected to that player. The region-free designation makes the disc a straightforward choice for viewers whose collections include films from different regions, while the UHD format helps you identify the release that fits your preferred home-video setup.

Insert the disc into a compatible 4K UHD Blu-ray player and select the film from the player’s menu.
