Getting the most from it

For a desk setup, connect a USB-C laptop to a compatible display or dock, or use the cable to transfer files between suitable devices. Its 2 m length offers extra reach compared with a short connection lead, while the 40 Gbps data rate supports fast transfers when both ends can use that speed. It also supports DisplayPort and Thunderbolt alternate modes for compatible display and docking arrangements.

The cable is suited to a range of USB-C equipment, including phones, tablets, laptops, monitors, hubs, docks and SSDs. For charging, pair it with a USB-C power source and device that support the desired power level, for video or high-speed data, the connected equipment must support the relevant mode. That makes it a practical choice if you want one cable for several compatible tasks rather than separate leads for charging and data.

Buyer feedback highlights the cable’s speed, charging and connector quality. Some users report differing experiences with connection consistency, and opinions vary on its thickness and flexibility. Its braided construction is a useful detail for a cable that may be moved between a desk, laptop bag and charging spot.

Included in the pack

The pack contains one USB-C to USB-C cable. Use it to connect compatible USB-C devices directly, or as part of a setup with a suitable charger, display, hub or dock.

Is it worth it?

The Ubluker UB42M brings high-speed data, video and audio support together with PD 3.1 charging in a 2 m USB-C cable. It is a useful fit for someone who regularly connects a laptop to a dock or display, transfers large files, or wants a single lead for compatible charging and connectivity tasks. If your devices support USB4 or the relevant Thunderbolt and power-delivery modes, its broad range of functions can simplify a multi-device setup.
