Thermalright PA120SEAR-WH Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB CPU Cooler, 6 Heat Pipes

For a desktop build that needs active CPU air cooling, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB combines a dual-tower heatsink with two PWM fans. Six heat pipes help transfer heat through the aluminium heatsink. Choose this approach for a self-contained air cooler, a liquid-cooling setup is a different option for builders planning around a radiator.

AGHP heat-pipe technology is designed to maintain its cooling function across different mounting orientations, making the cooler relevant to a range of desktop case layouts. PWM fan control lets the fans respond to system cooling needs, while the stated airflow and noise figures help when comparing air coolers for a build. Its white finish and ARGB lighting also bring a defined look to a system where the cooler is visible.

Who it’s for

This cooler suits desktop builders looking for a substantial air-cooling setup with two 120 mm fans and broad support for listed Intel and AMD sockets. It can be considered for a new build or a compatible system refresh, particularly when you want both active cooling and ARGB lighting in one CPU cooler. Check the socket of the motherboard and processor platform when selecting mounting hardware for installation.

Buyers commonly praise the cooling performance, quieter operation and appearance, with some also finding installation straightforward. These are individual impressions, but they point to the features people tend to value in everyday use: effective airflow, a considered look and a setup process they find manageable.

What you get

The package includes the CPU cooler, and the manufacturer describes Thermalright TF-7 thermal compound as included. A Thermalright SS2 mounting system is designed to make installation straightforward, with mounting parts provided for supported CPU socket platforms. The two PWM fans are part of the cooler, so its dual-fan arrangement is ready to form the core of the CPU cooling setup.

What to clarify

Which processor sockets does it support? The listed platforms are Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1200, 1700 and 17XX, plus AMD AM4 and AM5. Match the cooler’s mounting parts to the socket in your desktop build.

Is thermal compound included? Yes. Thermalright TF-7 thermal compound is identified as included with the cooler.

What fan connection does it use? The fans use a 4-pin connector and are specified for 12 V, with PWM control.

Should you buy it?

Choose the Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB when your desktop build calls for a dual-tower air cooler, six heat pipes and two 120 mm PWM fans, with support for the listed Intel and AMD sockets. Its ARGB lighting and white finish add a visual feature alongside the cooling hardware, making it a practical fit for a compatible system where both airflow and appearance matter.
