SONGMICS RFB833B01 Foldable Storage Cubes, Set of 8, Ink Black, 33 x 33 x 33 cm
Product description
At 33 x 33 x 33 cm, each SONGMICS storage cube is sized for a standard cube shelf and can also be used on its own in a wardrobe or around the home.
The set contains eight fabric organisers in ink black, with a front metal ring handle for pulling each cube from a shelf. Their classic look is intended to sit neatly with everyday home storage.
Need storage that can be put away when plans change? The base plates come out and the cubes fold flat, making them useful for flexible storage needs or when shelf space is being repurposed.
How it fits
These cubes are designed for cube-style shelving, where their square format helps make use of individual compartments. They can also hold clothes in a wardrobe, books on a bookshelf or toys and everyday items on a living room shelf. The handle makes it easier to pull a filled cube forward, rather than reaching in to retrieve items from the back.
Each cube has a stated capacity of 36L and a maximum load of 5 kg. That gives a practical guide when choosing what to store: clothes and books are among the suggested uses, while heavier contents should stay within the stated limit. If you need storage for items above that load, a container with a higher specified capacity would be a better fit.
What you’ll notice day to day
The cubes use non-woven fabric, Oxford fabric and PP plastic boards. To assemble one, place its base plate inside, to store it flat, remove the plate and use the bottom loop to fold the sides down. Unlike a rigid box that keeps its shape when empty, this set can be collapsed between uses.
The front metal ring handle is useful for moving a cube in and out of a shelf, while the ink black colour and vintage-inspired styling give the set a more considered look than plain utility storage. Buyers’ comments are positive about the appearance, size and perceived quality, with some saying the cubes hold what they need. These are individual impressions rather than a measure of how the set will suit every room or storage layout.
For everyday organisation, the cubes could separate folded clothes by type or keep books and small household items together on a shelf. They are intended to organise and contain items, rather than replace shelving itself. Care is simple but specific: do not wash them, wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. The product notes also advise airing them in a well-ventilated place for a few hours if they have a new smell.

Final verdict
It suits you if you want matching, foldable organisers for cube shelving, wardrobes or general household storage, and value being able to flatten them when they are not needed. The set’s stated capacity and load limit help clarify what each cube is designed to hold. It’s not for you if you need containers rated for loads above 5 kg per cube or want a rigid box that retains its shape when empty. Within these limits, the eight-cube format offers a straightforward way to group everyday belongings without committing to permanent, hard-sided storage.
