SONGMICS OMC013B01 Steel Storage Cabinet, Black, with Lockable Doors
Product description
If you need a dedicated place for files, tools or household supplies, this SONGMICS cabinet keeps them behind two doors rather than on open shelving. Its black, powder-coated steel construction suits a home office, garage or living area. Adjustable shelves help accommodate items of different heights. It is aimed at organised, enclosed storage rather than quick access to everything at a glance.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use the adjustable shelves to divide the cabinet around what you plan to store, whether that is office files, bottles or garage tools. The surface is described as water-resistant and easy to clean, which can be handy for everyday household use, it is not described as waterproof. Adjustable feet help with stability and protect the floor from scratches. For safety, the supplied tilt protection is intended to secure the cabinet to a wall, so allow for that when choosing its position.
Benefits
The main advantage over a basic open shelf is that the double doors keep stored items out of sight, while the shelves can be repositioned for different-sized contents. A steel lock and two keys are included for closing the cabinet, though this should not be confused with a stated high-security rating. The flat black finish and straightforward shape are intended to fit a range of rooms without drawing much attention.
Buyer feedback often praises the appearance and ease of assembly, with some finding the instructions user-friendly. Comments on the lock are mixed, and some buyers report receiving panels with dents or scratches. These are reported experiences rather than guaranteed outcomes, but they are relevant if the condition of the panels and lock matters to your decision.

When it makes sense
A solid pick if you want enclosed, adaptable storage for a home office, living space or garage and can make room for a floor-mounted cabinet. Compared with open shelving, it offers a tidier, less exposed way to store everyday items, open shelves may suit you better if you need to reach or view everything quickly. It might not be a great match if you need a lock with proven high-security performance, as no security rating is stated and buyer feedback on the mechanism is mixed.
