SONGMICS LTB810E08 8L Hanging Bin, Stainless Steel, Dual-Opening Lid
Product description
A swing lid that opens in two ways makes this SONGMICS bin easier to reach while you are preparing food. Its 8-litre capacity suits everyday scraps without taking up floor space. Hang it over a cabinet door, mount it on a smooth wall or set it on a countertop, depending on your kitchen layout.
Practical tips
Use the included hook to hang the bin on either side of a cabinet door, or place it on a worktop when that is more convenient. Wall mounting is another option, but the adhesive needed for this is not included. The lid can be flipped up or slid down, so you can choose the opening that works best with your available space and routine.
The removable inner bucket has a handle for carrying and cleaning, while the paired bag holes help hold a liner in place and keep its edges out of sight. At 25.8 x 15.2 x 32 cm, its rectangular shape is intended for compact spaces such as a kitchen, bathroom or toilet. It is for indoor use only, avoid overfilling it or putting sharp objects inside.
Customer feedback highlights the bin’s neat appearance, ease of cleaning and straightforward everyday use. Some also value being able to use it as a freestanding bin when hanging it is not practical. These comments reflect individual impressions, but they suggest that the choice of mounting method and the two-way lid are useful parts of its design.

Benefits
The main appeal is flexibility. A conventional countertop caddy keeps waste close to hand but occupies worktop space, this model can instead hang from a cabinet door or be mounted on a smooth wall. Keeping the bin off the floor may also help preserve clear space in a smaller kitchen. If you prefer not to mount it, it can sit on a counter.
The close-fitting lid is designed to help contain odours, and the stainless steel exterior can be wiped clean. The removable inner bucket separates the part you carry and wash from the outer bin. It is a practical arrangement for collecting food waste during meal preparation, though the 8-litre capacity is a specific size to consider against how much waste your household produces.
Should you buy it?
It’s a good fit if you want a compact indoor bin with more than one placement and lid-opening option, particularly where floor or worktop space is limited. The hook is included for cabinet-door hanging, choose wall mounting only if you are happy to source adhesive separately. It’s not for you if you need an outdoor bin, or if your household requires a larger capacity than 8 litres. For a smaller daily food-waste setup, its removable bucket and flexible positioning make it a considered alternative to a basic fixed countertop caddy.
