Tips for day-to-day use

Set up on a clear floor or table so the pieces can be spread out and sorted by colour, pattern or shape. Children can work through a puzzle independently, or share the search and picture-building with someone else. What helps keep a puzzle session engaging? The dinosaur artwork gives children a recognisable subject to follow as the image takes shape, while the piece-finding and fitting encourage concentration and problem-solving through play.

The pieces have a matte finish, with vivid colours that make the pictures easy to follow. Their durable construction supports repeat puzzling, so the set can return to the table whenever children want another hands-on activity. Once play is finished, gather the pieces together before storing the puzzle for another day.

Who it’s for

This set is designed for children aged 7 and up who are ready to enjoy a more involved puzzle activity. The large pieces are easy for little hands to hold, while the two 150-piece puzzles offer a different format from choosing one single larger puzzle. Children can focus on one picture at a time, making it straightforward to organise a session around their interest and attention.

It also suits shared play. Children can take turns finding pieces, compare sections of the image and work together towards the finished dinosaur scenes. These activities can support dexterity, concentration, collaboration and problem-solving as they play.

When it makes sense

Choose this Ravensburger set for indoor play when you want a dinosaur-themed activity that combines picture-building with practical, hands-on skills. It works for a quiet solo session as well as a family activity, and its two-puzzle format gives children another image to work on after completing the first. The age-appropriate piece size and clear, colourful artwork make the set a fitting choice for young dinosaur fans who enjoy sorting, matching and watching a picture come together.
