Ravensburger 12001816 500-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle, Moroccan Spices & Herbs

Some puzzles are chosen for a quick activity, others for the pleasure of building a detailed scene piece by piece. This Ravensburger puzzle brings a photographic Moroccan market to the table, with colourful spices and herbs at its centre. The 500-piece format offers a focused project for a quiet afternoon or a shared puzzle session. Its completed size is 49 x 36 cm.

• Completed size: 49 x 36 cm

• Included: 500-piece puzzle

The image captures the vivid displays of a traditional Moroccan souk, giving the finished puzzle a strong sense of colour and place. Rather than building an abstract pattern, you can work from recognisable details in the market scene: sort pieces by colour and shape, then bring the spices and herbs into focus section by section. That makes the picture itself a useful guide as the scene takes shape.

Ravensburger uses extra-thick cardboard and fine, linen-structured paper for the puzzle image. The textured finish is designed to reduce glare, helping keep the printed scene clear as you work under indoor light. Precisely cut pieces add to the hands-on appeal, while the completed 49 x 36 cm image provides a defined display size if you decide to frame your finished work.

Getting the most from it

Set the pieces out on a tabletop, then begin by grouping distinctive colours and shapes. For example, separate the brighter spice displays from the surrounding market details before working inwards, the photographic image gives you visual landmarks to return to as the sections connect. This makes it easy to pick up the puzzle again between sessions without losing sight of the overall composition.

It suits a solo activity, as well as a relaxed session with family or friends. If you are choosing between a puzzle built around a simple repeating design and one with a rich photographic subject, this one puts the emphasis on exploring a lively scene as you assemble it. Once complete, its rectangular 49 x 36 cm format can also be framed as a colourful piece of wall decoration.

Included in the pack

The pack contains one 500-piece jigsaw puzzle featuring colourful spices and herbs in a Moroccan market. Lay the pieces out on a tabletop and use the image as a guide while assembling the scene. The 500-piece count makes it a substantial activity without turning the project into a large-scale puzzle, and the finished image has a clearly stated size for planning a display space.

Is it worth it?

For adults and puzzle fans drawn to travel-inspired photography, the appeal is the combination of an engaging 500-piece build and a finished image full of colour and detail. The textured, glare-reducing paper helps keep attention on the scene during assembly, while the completed size gives the picture a practical place in a room once the last piece is in. It’s a good fit if you want a tabletop activity centred on a vivid market image, rather than a puzzle whose main attraction is simply its piece count.
