Ravensburger 12001212 Pikachu Jigsaw Puzzle, 727 Pieces, Recycled Cardboard

Distinctive, precision-cut pieces make it easier to see how each part fits into the Pikachu image, turning a tabletop activity into a focused puzzle challenge. With 727 pieces, this Ravensburger jigsaw suits puzzlers aged 14 and up. Choose it for a more involved solo activity or a shared project that can be worked on together, rather than a quick, short-form game.

Key takeaways

The puzzle features Pikachu from Pokémon and contains 727 pieces, offering a substantial build for older children and adults. Each piece is made from cardboard, with the puzzle pieces produced from recycled cardboard. Ravensburger’s handmade cutting tools create a variety of piece shapes, while the pieces are designed to fit together neatly and resist buckling. A natural linen embossing gives the puzzle image a reflection-free finish, helping keep the artwork clear as you work across it.

The design brings several practical details together: varied shapes give you different features to look for, and the Pikachu theme provides a recognisable image to guide progress. The puzzle is suitable for tabletop play and is listed for ages 14 and up, making it a considered choice for a Pokémon fan who enjoys a hands-on challenge.

Practical tips

Set up on a stable tabletop with enough room to arrange pieces and build the image. Sorting pieces by colour, pattern or edge can help organise the task before you begin, while keeping the pieces together makes it easier to return to the puzzle over several sessions. The varied shapes offer another useful way to compare pieces when colours or details look similar.

The image’s linen embossing is designed to reduce reflections, so the artwork remains easier to view under typical room lighting. As with any jigsaw, keeping the work area clear gives you space to lay out pieces without disturbing the section you have already assembled.

Getting the most from it

For a solo session, the 727-piece count gives you a sustained activity built around observation, pattern recognition and problem-solving. For a shared puzzle, different people can sort or assemble separate areas and bring them together on the same tabletop. Its Pikachu subject also makes the finished design a natural fit for someone who enjoys Pokémon imagery, rather than a puzzler looking primarily for a landscape or abstract picture.

Ravensburger highlights the precise fit of its pieces, their varied shapes and their resistance to buckling. Those details support a satisfying build from the first sections through to the final pieces, while the reflection-free image finish keeps the motif easy to study as you work. The set contains the puzzle pieces, so the activity centres on assembling the image rather than adding another game component.
