Kerbl Pet Window Lounger Cat Bed, 55 x 35 x 10 cm, with Removable Cover

If your cat likes to settle on a windowsill and watch what is happening outside, the Kerbl Pet Window Lounger gives them a raised resting spot with a padded cave for sleeping, playing or hiding. Its wooden construction and adjustable screw clamps are designed for fitting to standard window sills, so it makes use of a perch that might otherwise be left bare.

The rectangular bed measures 55 x 35 x 10 cm and combines wood, metal and polyester, with polyester-fibre filling. The grey plush cover is removable and can be machine washed at 30 °C.

What matters most

The main appeal is the mix of a viewing spot and a covered retreat. A cat can rest above the floor while looking into the room or outdoors, then tuck into the soft padded cave when it wants a more sheltered place. That makes the design more versatile than a simple flat windowsill cushion, though it takes up space on the sill rather than sitting on the floor.

The included screw clamps can be adjusted to the depth of the windowsill, and the product is described as suitable for standard sills. Is that a useful trade-off for your home? It depends on having a suitable sill where the bed can be fixed, the stated fit does not mean every window arrangement will work. The wooden structure is intended to limit wobbling or tipping, but correct fitting remains important.

At 55 x 35 x 10 cm, it is worth considering the available sill space alongside the bed’s dimensions. The product details do not give a weight limit, so there is no stated figure to use when assessing suitability for a particular cat.

Care & maintenance

The cover can be removed for machine washing at 30 °C, which gives you a practical way to freshen the fabric after regular use. Spot cleaning is also listed in the care instructions. The washing guidance applies to the cover, the information provided does not say that the assembled bed can be machine washed. Keep the wooden and metal parts separate from the wash and follow the stated cover-care instructions.

Who it’s for

A solid pick if your cat enjoys watching activity from a window and you have a standard windowsill with room for a 55 x 35 cm bed. The cave also gives cats a covered place to curl up, making this more than an exposed perch. It could suit a home looking to combine a resting spot and a hideaway without choosing separate pieces of cat furniture.

It might not be a great match if there is no suitable sill to clamp it to, or if you need a bed for a floor or sofa. The adjustable clamps address sill depth, but the available details do not specify a universal fit for every window design.

When it makes sense

Choose this lounger when the window is already a favourite resting place and you want to add a raised bed with a sheltered area, rather than buying a basic cushion alone. It is also a practical choice if a removable, machine-washable cover is important to your routine. For this type of use, the key decision is whether the sill can accommodate the bed and its clamp fixing. If that placement works, the viewing perch and cave offer two ways for a cat to use the same spot, if not, a freestanding bed is the more suitable approach.
