VASAGLE BALOK LSD600YA01 Overbed Table, Adjustable Height, Wheels, 70 x 40 cm

Set it beside a bed or sofa for a surface that can move closer when you need it and roll away afterwards. The VASAGLE BALOK LSD600YA01 has a 70 x 40 cm tabletop and adjustable height. A lever and built-in gas spring let you raise or lower it with one hand. Its compact design is intended to slide under a sofa or bed, though the tabletop is smaller than a full-size desk.

How to use it

Roll the table into position, then use the lever to set the height between 65 and 102 cm. That range gives you flexibility to place it beside a bed or sofa, or use it as a small standing desk. The castors make it easier to move between spots, while the stated 3 cm-high compact design is intended to let it slide under furniture when not in use.

The tabletop has room for everyday items, and the built-in cup holder, side swivel cup holder and device slot help keep a drink and a phone or tablet within reach. For example, it could sit beside a sofa while you read or watch something on a device, then be moved out of the way afterwards. Assembly is described as a three-step process with labelled parts and instructions.

Pros

The main advantage is flexibility: unlike a fixed bedside or sofa table, this one can be moved and adjusted to suit different seating positions. The gas-spring adjustment is designed for one-handed use, so changing the height does not require a separate tool. Its oak wood top and matte white finish also give it a restrained look that should suit a minimalist interior.

A solid pick if you want a mobile surface for a drink and device, or occasional work beside a bed or sofa. The two cup-holder positions and device slot add useful organisation without needing extra accessories. The trade-off is the 70 x 40 cm surface: it offers less room than a larger, dedicated desk, so consider how much space your usual setup needs. It’s not for you if a broad, permanent work surface is the priority.

Is it worth it?

This table makes most sense when mobility and adjustable height matter more than having a large work surface. It combines castors, a one-hand height lever and places for a drink and device in a compact format, so it can serve more than one spot around the home. Compared with a basic fixed side table, it offers more adjustment and easier repositioning, compared with a full desk, its smaller top is the clear compromise.

If your routine involves moving between a bed and sofa, or you want a surface that can be put away when it is not needed, the design addresses those needs directly. For regular work that calls for a wider spread of equipment, a dedicated desk is likely to be a better fit. The choice comes down to whether a movable, height-adjustable table suits your space better than a larger fixed surface.
