XiaZ MZT-30.5*43cm Cat Scratch Protector, Clear PVC with Cutting Grid

Cat owners looking to protect sofa upholstery, chairs or car seats from scratching can use the XiaZ clear PVC film to cover the areas their cats tend to target. The transparent material keeps the underlying surface visible, while the cut-to-fit format makes it easier to protect a particular section rather than cover an entire piece of furniture.

Each of the 12 pieces measures 30.5 x 43 cm. A measuring grid with 10 cm markings on the backing paper helps guide trimming, and the included application scraper is there to smooth the film during placement.

Practical tips

Start by identifying the upholstery or seat area that needs protection, then measure and trim a piece to suit the shape you want to cover. The grid on the backing paper offers a convenient guide for straight cuts and helps with sizing pieces for smaller scratch zones. For a more tailored fit, trim around the edges of the area rather than using an oversized piece.

Apply the film to the intended surface and use the included scraper to smooth it out and work out air bubbles. This makes the scraper useful not just for finishing the application, but also for helping the film sit neatly against the surface. The 12-piece format gives you several sections to place where they are most useful around the home or in a car.

Where it shines

This protector is suited to indoor settings where cats repeatedly scratch upholstered furniture. Place it on vulnerable sections of a sofa, couch, chair or recliner to create a clear barrier over the fabric. It can also be used on car seats, so the same format can address more than one kind of upholstery. The transparent finish is a practical choice when you want to protect a surface without covering its colour or pattern with an opaque guard.

Would you rather shield only the spots that need attention, or cover a larger area with a single piece? The separate panels make targeted coverage possible, while the grid helps adapt each one to a particular scratch zone. Buyers’ views on adhesion are mixed, and opinions on value also vary. The supplied scraper and cut-to-fit format are useful considerations when deciding whether this style of protector suits your surfaces and approach to furniture care.

Key features

The film is made from clear PVC and is designed as an anti-scratch protector for indoor use. Its transparent finish keeps the covered upholstery visible, and the easy-cut grid supports more precise sizing for different furniture contours. With 12 pieces measuring 30.5 x 43 cm each, you can plan coverage across several areas instead of relying on one large, fixed-size guard. The included scraper helps smooth the film during application.

Compared with a rigid furniture guard that covers a set area, this flexible film can be trimmed to fit specific sections. That makes it a useful format for protecting sofa arms, seat sections or other upholstery areas where a tailored shape is preferred. Use it wherever the product’s intended application—upholstery and car seats—matches the surface you want to protect.

Final verdict

For cat owners who want a clear, adaptable barrier over selected indoor upholstery, XiaZ combines PVC film, a measuring grid and an application scraper in a 12-piece set. The cut-to-fit design is especially handy when the scratching is concentrated in particular spots, whether on a sofa at home or a car seat.
