PAWSCRAT YZ Cat Scratching Post, 32-Inch Sisal with Dangling Ball
Product description
At 32 inches tall, the PAWSCRAT YZ gives indoor cats a vertical sisal surface for scratching and stretching. Its 5.5-inch-diameter post is wrapped in natural sisal, while the wide 14" x 15" base provides a steady floor-mounted foundation. A dangling ball adds an extra point of interest during play.
Choose a vertical post when your cat likes to stretch up while scratching, a horizontal scratcher better suits cats that prefer to scratch at floor level. The beige finish and modern style bring a neutral look to the room.
Size & fit
The post’s height gives cats room to reach upward as they scratch, and its thick sisal-covered surface offers a dedicated place for that everyday behaviour. Set it on the floor in an indoor area where your cat can approach it easily. The 14" x 15" base gives the post a broad footprint, and the dangling ball can encourage interest in the scratching area. For a practical setup, place the post near the furniture or other spot your cat already tends to scratch, making the alternative easy to find.
Strengths
Natural sisal rope provides the main scratching surface, helping redirect clawing towards a dedicated post rather than household furniture. Its machine-wound construction is described as helping the rope stay in place, and the post’s substantial diameter gives cats a generous area to grip as they stretch. The toy adds a play element, so the post serves both as a scratching spot and an invitation to interact.
The floor-mounted design keeps the scratching area in one place, while the wide base is intended to support stability during use. Its beige flannelette styling blends readily with neutral or modern interiors. Buyers often praise the post’s stability, size and ease of assembly, and some say it helps protect their chairs. Feedback on durability is mixed: some buyers report concerns such as a broken base or sisal coming loose. These comments offer useful context alongside the post’s documented materials and design.
