sdroceRyaM 7-Inch Turntable Slip Mat, 3 mm Polyester Felt
Product description
The 3 mm polyester-fibre surface helps reduce friction between a turntable and a vinyl record, adding a protective layer for everyday playback. This 7-inch slip mat is made for vinyl LP players and is designed to help limit static, impact and unwanted resonance while supporting a tighter bass response.
Its stated 187 mm diameter fits most turntables without cutting, making it a straightforward choice when replacing a mat or refreshing a record-playing setup.
Practical tips
Place the mat on the turntable with its centre hole aligned over the spindle, then set the record on top for playback. Its 7 mm centre hole and 3 mm thickness are useful measurements to compare with your existing setup before installing. The polyester-fibre material is described as soft, non-deformable and easy to clean, helping keep routine care simple. A light flap is also described as enough to clear dust from the mat.
If you are choosing between a ready-sized mat and material that needs trimming, this option is sized for most turntables and does not require cutting. That can make it a convenient fit for a standard 7-inch mat position.

Why it makes sense
A slip mat sits between the record and the turntable, and this one is designed to reduce friction that can contribute to wear during playback. Its stated anti-static and impact-reducing properties offer practical support for protecting records, while reducing unwanted resonance helps create a more controlled listening setup. The product also describes a tighter bass response as part of its listening benefit.
The 3 mm felt-style format gives record owners a simple way to add a dedicated contact layer without choosing a mat that must be cut to size. Its black finish keeps the focus on the record and turntable, while the polyester-fibre construction is intended to remain soft and resist deformation. For a home listening corner or a vinyl setup used regularly, it offers a focused accessory for playback and record care rather than a larger equipment upgrade.
When it makes sense
It suits you if you want a 7-inch turntable mat for vinyl playback, with a defined 187 mm diameter and a 7 mm centre hole. Use it as a replacement mat or as part of a setup where reducing friction, static and unwanted resonance matters alongside routine record care. The size information makes it easier to compare the mat with the turntable’s existing playing area, and its ready-sized design is useful when you want to avoid trimming material. For listeners building a simple, record-focused setup, this polyester-fibre slip mat adds a practical layer between the vinyl and the turntable.
