Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K RZ01-05240300-R3U1 Wireless Gaming Mouse
Product description
For gaming sessions that call for quick access to commands, the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K combines wireless play with a configurable scroll wheel and multiple controls. Its Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 supports tracking on a wider range of surfaces, including glass. Need smooth scrolling between matches or tasks? The wheel offers both free-spin and tactile modes, plus automatic switching. Synapse 4 lets you adjust mappings and other settings.

The optical sensor offers 35K DPI and 1-DPI step adjustments. There are 13 accessible controls, including a multifunction trigger, and Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3. Compatibility & requirements
Choose between HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth and a wired USB-C connection. Synapse 4 is used to remap controls and adjust options such as lighting, scroll behaviour and macros. The product details also recommend disabling “Enhance pointer precision” in Windows mouse settings to optimize accuracy, that setting is separate from the mouse’s own configuration.
The mouse can reach an 8000 Hz polling rate with a Razer Mouse Dock Pro or HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, but those accessories are sold separately. Wireless charging also requires a separately sold Wireless Charging Puck or Mouse Dock Pro. These add-ons matter if either feature is part of your setup, they are not needed for the listed connection modes or standard wireless use.
Best use cases
This model makes sense for players who want to map game commands to the mouse rather than rely mainly on keyboard shortcuts. Its controls can also be assigned for actions such as push-to-talk or ping. For a practical desk setup, Smart-Reel can switch between controlled, tactile scrolling and free-spin as scroll speed changes, manual mode selection is available too. That flexibility may also suit long documents or other scrolling-heavy tasks.
Compared with a basic wireless mouse with fewer controls, the Basilisk offers more ways to tailor input and scrolling. A simpler model may be a better fit if those adjustments are not useful to you. It suits you if you want wireless options and configurable controls in a right-handed design. It’s not for you if you require 8000 Hz polling without buying one of the separately sold accessories.
Buyer comments are positive about the mouse’s appearance and available colour choices, and some describe its overall quality favourably. Those impressions may help if looks matter in your setup, but they don’t establish how the shape or controls will feel in your own hand.
Practical questions
Can it be used while connected by cable? Yes. The listed wired option is USB-C, alongside Bluetooth and Razer HyperSpeed Wireless.
Can the scroll wheel be customized? Yes. Its modes include tactile cycling, free-spin and Smart-Reel, and Synapse 4 provides configurable scroll options.
Does wireless charging come with the mouse? Wireless charging requires a separately sold Wireless Charging Puck or Mouse Dock Pro, according to the product details.
Final verdict
The Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is worth considering if customizable controls, a multi-mode tilt wheel and three connection options are more useful to you than a simpler mouse setup. Its headline battery figures vary by connection mode, and the 8000 Hz polling rate and wireless charging depend on extra accessories. Choose it for the available control and scrolling flexibility, if you want those advanced features immediately, account for the required add-ons when deciding.
