ETRONIK lunch backpack in Oxford cloth

The detachable insulated lunch bag is the feature that sets this ETRONIK backpack apart: it lets you carry lunch alongside work essentials, then remove the food compartment when you want more room. The main compartment includes a padded sleeve intended for a 15.6-inch laptop, with separate spaces for items such as a tablet, A4 files, a wallet or a change of clothes. For a commute that combines a laptop and packed lunch, that two-in-one layout could save you from carrying a separate lunch tote.

What matters most

This is a work backpack with an adjustable internal divider, not simply a laptop bag with a small cooler pocket. Set the divider to make space for the lunch bag, or adjust it when you want more room for other belongings. The removable lunch compartment is described as Oxford cloth with a cleanable aluminium-foil lining. The listing says it can keep cold drinks for about 3–5 hours, it doesn’t give a specific duration for keeping food warm, so don’t rely on a guaranteed temperature window for that.

There’s a dedicated laptop sleeve, mesh pockets and elasticated side pockets for a water bottle or umbrella. Those details make the layout practical for moving between work, errands and travel, though the product description doesn’t provide overall dimensions or capacity. Keep in mind that the product name mentions a 17.3-inch laptop, while the detailed sleeve description specifies protection for a 15.6-inch laptop. Check your laptop’s measurements against the bag before choosing it, especially if you have a larger device.

How to use it

Pack the lunch bag with a lunch box, fruit or drinks, then adjust the divider to leave room for it inside the backpack. When you’re not bringing food, reposition the divider to use more of the main compartment for work or personal items. For example, on a day with a laptop, A4 papers and lunch, you can keep the food in its own compartment rather than balancing a separate container in your hands. The lunch bag can also be detached when you only need the backpack.

The fabric and lining are described as cleanable, but no specific washing instructions are provided. A careful wipe-down is a sensible starting point, avoid assuming the insulated insert or backpack is machine-washable.

Practical tips

Use the elasticated side pockets for a bottle or umbrella, and the internal mesh pockets for smaller items you’d rather not leave loose. The wide, breathable shoulder straps are intended to make carrying more comfortable over longer stretches, but the listing doesn’t state the backpack’s weight or strap dimensions. If your commute involves a heavily loaded bag, those missing details may matter.

It’s a good option if you want one bag for a lunch, work essentials and a laptop, with the flexibility to remove the insulated section. It may not suit you if you need a confirmed 17.3-inch laptop fit or want detailed temperature-retention information before relying on the lunch compartment.

Before you decide

Is the lunch bag removable? Yes. The insulated compartment is detachable, and the divider can be adjusted when you’re not carrying lunch.

What size laptop does the sleeve fit? The detailed description specifies a 15.6-inch laptop. Although 17.3 inches appears in the product name, the sleeve size isn’t confirmed at that measurement.

How long does it keep drinks cold? The listing gives about 3–5 hours for cold drinks. It doesn’t provide a separate time estimate for keeping food warm.

For your situation

Choose this backpack if combining lunch and work gear in one carry matters more than having a confirmed larger laptop compartment. If your laptop is 17.3 inches, or you need a stated warm-food holding time, the available details leave an important question unanswered, a conventional laptop backpack with a clearly specified sleeve size may be a safer fit.
