Nafnti Smart Bird Feeder with Camera, 1.8 L, 2K Video and Solar Panel

The essentials

With a 1.8-litre capacity, the Nafnti smart bird feeder gives visiting birds a place to feed while its built-in 2K camera brings activity into view on your phone. The 160° wide-angle lens captures a broad view around the feeder, and infrared night vision lets you check in after dark as well as during the day.

Motion-activated recording captures visits, while live-view alerts notify you when birds arrive. The app also offers AI bird identification, matching recognized birds with species information for a closer look at each visitor. AI identification includes a 30-day free trial, with monthly or annual subscriptions available afterward.

A solar panel works with the rechargeable 5,200 mAh battery to power the camera feeder outdoors. Its plastic body measures 17 × 16 × 19 centimetres, and mounting options include a tree, wall, stand or pole. The included fruit fork, water box and extended bracket add ways to set up the feeding area.

Everyday use

Use the feeder to make backyard birdwatching easier to follow, even when you are indoors or away from the window. When a bird triggers motion recording, the camera captures a video and sends an alert to your phone, live view lets you check activity as it happens. This makes it practical to keep track of brief visits rather than relying on being outside at just the right moment.

Saved clips can be kept with three days of free cloud storage, with subscription options for expanded cloud storage. For local storage, the feeder supports a TF card up to 128 GB, the card is sold separately. The app also supports sharing moments with unlimited users, so family and friends can follow visits together.

Usage tips

Choose a mounting position that gives birds access to the feeder and leaves the camera with a clear view of the area you want to watch. The tree, wall, stand and pole mounting options offer flexibility for different outdoor setups. The supplied extended bracket can help position the feeder, while the fruit fork and water box provide additional features for arranging the feeding area.

Connect the camera through a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, it does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Once connected, use the app for live viewing, alerts, video access and bird identification. Position the solar panel where it can receive light, and check that the camera’s view covers the feeder before settling on the mounting location. These simple setup choices help make alerts useful and captured visits easy to see.
