The cartridge family is identified as LC103XL and LC101XL compatible, so check your printer’s cartridge reference against those series before choosing a replacement.

Buyers often praise the print quality and straightforward installation. Feedback is more varied on printer compatibility, colour quality and how long the ink lasts, so experiences differ across users and setups.

Getting the most from it

The four-black, two-of-each-colour arrangement suits printing that uses black ink frequently while still keeping colour replacements on hand. For example, a home office can use black for everyday forms and correspondence, then draw on cyan, magenta and yellow for colour documents or photos. The pack format also gives you several replacements together instead of sourcing each colour separately as it runs low.

For best results, match the LC103XL or LC101XL cartridge reference to a printer model in the compatible list. The cartridges are designed as replacements for the listed Brother models, compatibility is the key practical detail when selecting ink for a specific printer.

Best use cases

This set is suited to home or office printing where one printer handles a mix of paperwork and colour jobs. The larger share of black cartridges is useful when text documents are a regular part of the workload, while the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges support colour printing as needed. Listed uses include document and photo printing, with plain paper and glossy photo paper among the supported media.

If you are choosing between buying individual cartridges and a multi-colour replacement set, this pack keeps all four ink colours together and provides multiple black cartridges as well. That can make it a convenient fit for keeping routine printing supplies ready in one purchase, particularly for a compatible printer used for both documents and colour output.

Buying verdict

Its 4-black, 2-cyan, 2-magenta and 2-yellow mix is tailored to regular mixed printing, while the stated 600-page yield per cartridge gives a clear reference point for planning replacements.
