Key takeaways

This compatible ejet LC401XL set includes one cartridge in each of the four listed colours. The stated page yields are up to 560 pages for the black cartridge and 510 pages for each colour cartridge. These figures give you a practical reference when planning replacement supplies for routine home documents, schoolwork or colour graphics, actual use will depend on what you print.

The cartridge type is compatible rather than an original Brother cartridge, so this set suits shoppers looking specifically for a replacement option for the listed printer models. Its four-colour format is useful when you want to replenish black and colour supplies in one purchase, instead of sourcing each colour separately. The manufacturer describes the ink as refined and designed to resist smudging and print-head clogging, supporting crisp text and colourful prints.

Buyers have highlighted print quality and perceived value in their comments. Those impressions can help inform a purchase, while the printer compatibility and cartridge format remain the practical details to match to your setup.

Everyday use

For letters, forms and other plain-paper documents, the black cartridge is the one to draw on for clear text. Cyan, magenta and yellow provide the colour set for graphics and other prints where colour matters. Keeping all four cartridges together makes it simpler to have the core colours ready for a mix of routine printing tasks.

The pack is intended for the four Brother MFC models listed, making printer-model matching the key step when choosing it. If you’re comparing a compatible multi-colour set with buying cartridges individually, this pack brings all four listed colours together. That format is especially convenient when you want a complete colour restock rather than a single-colour replacement.

How to use it

Confirm that your printer is a Brother MFC J1010DW, J1012DW, J1170DW or J1800DW before selecting the cartridges. Install the cartridges in the printer’s corresponding colour positions, following the printer’s normal cartridge-replacement process. Each cartridge is individually sealed to help protect the ink before installation. Once fitted, the set is intended for inkjet printing on paper, including plain-paper documents and colour graphics.

For planning, the stated yields are up to 560 pages for black and up to 510 pages per colour cartridge. Page yield is a useful estimate when deciding how often to keep replacement supplies available, pages with more colour coverage may use ink differently from text-focused documents.

Final verdict

This ejet four-pack is a practical fit for owners of the listed Brother MFC printers who want compatible black and colour cartridges in one set. With all four colours included, individual seals and stated yields for both black and colour, it supports a straightforward restock for everyday documents and graphics.
