HOPET Snuffle Mat for Dogs, 28.3-Inch Square, Non-Slip Feeding Puzzle

At 28.3" x 28.3", the HOPET snuffle mat gives dogs a broad area to search for hidden treats or small toys. Its flower-trap design creates places to tuck rewards, turning snack time into an engaging sniffing activity. A non-slip bottom helps keep the mat in place as your dog explores.

Best use cases

Use the mat to encourage natural foraging indoors or outdoors, or to add a searching task to a dog’s daily routine. Hide snacks or small toys among the fabric and let your dog use their nose to find them. This makes treat time more interactive than offering rewards directly from your hand, while giving a bored dog an activity to focus on.

The mat can also serve as a slow-feeding option: spreading food through the pockets encourages your dog to search for each piece instead of eating it all at once. Its large square format offers room for dogs of different sizes to explore, and the lightweight construction makes it practical to move between activity spots.

Strengths

The flower-trap layout and additional feeding pockets give you several places to hide food, helping make each search more engaging. Sniffing for rewards gives dogs a simple task that draws on their natural foraging behaviour, completing the search can support confidence and provide a focused activity during quiet time at home.

Compared with feeding from a standard bowl, this mat makes dogs work through a search for their food and can slow the pace of a meal. The non-slip cloth on the bottom helps prevent the mat from shifting during use, while its portable design makes it easy to set up in another spot. When the activity is done, the mat can be washed by hand or in a machine, so it can be refreshed for another round. It’s a good fit if you want to combine treat-finding, feeding and enrichment in one reusable activity mat.

Questions before you buy

How do you use the snuffle mat? Hide snacks or small toys in the mat’s fabric and feeding pockets, then let your dog sniff and search for them. You can use it as a treat-finding game or for a slower, more interactive feeding routine.

Can it help slow down feeding? The mat is designed to spread food through its search areas, encouraging a dog to find individual pieces rather than eating from a single pile. It offers a more active way to serve food.

How do you clean it? The mat can be washed by hand or machine, making cleanup straightforward after treat or meal-time use.
