AUSCAT GLQ-2S Squeaky Rugby Dog Toys, Natural Rubber, Green and Orange, 4.1-inch

Some dogs are most engaged by a toy they can chase, while others enjoy having something to grip and chew during play. The AUSCAT GLQ-2S combines a rugby-ball shape with a built-in squeaker, so it can bring both sound and movement to fetch and interactive play.

This two-piece set includes one green and one orange toy, each made from natural rubber and sized at 4.1 inches. Grooves provide places for your dog to grip, while the squeak adds an audible cue that can help keep play interesting.

Key takeaways

The rugby shape gives this dog toy a distinctive form for carrying, chewing and chasing. Its textured grooves are designed to make gripping easier, and the built-in squeaker adds sound during play. Together, these details make it suited to games where you and your dog take turns rolling, tossing and retrieving the ball.

The set contains two toys, one in each colour. AUSCAT recommends this 4.1-inch size for small and medium dogs, with a stated dog-weight range of 5–22 kg (11–48 lb). Buyers often describe their dogs as enjoying the squeak and the toy, while opinions on durability, chewing resistance and size are mixed. As with any dog toy, supervise play and take the toy away if it becomes damaged.

Usage tips

Use the toys for supervised play, whether you’re playing fetch indoors or outdoors. Check them during play and remove a damaged toy. The manufacturer also advises supervising dogs with toys, teaching strong chewers to treat toys gently, and keeping the toy away from fire. These simple habits help keep play focused on the toy and give you a chance to respond if its condition changes.

How to use it

For a game of fetch, toss or roll the rugby-shaped ball and encourage your dog to bring it back. Its squeaker can add an extra sound cue as the toy moves, and the grooved surface gives your dog defined areas to bite and hold. You can also offer it for supervised chewing or use it in short, interactive play sessions that combine chasing and retrieving.

The two colours make it easy to alternate between the green and orange toys during play. If your dog is learning a new game, start with a simple roll or short toss and reward attention to the toy. The product is intended for pet use, keep play supervised rather than leaving a dog unattended with it.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want a small-to-medium dog toy that can serve more than one play routine: squeaky chewing, indoor or outdoor fetch, and interactive games together. The natural-rubber construction, grooved rugby shape and built-in sound give dogs several features to engage with, while the two-colour set provides a second toy for switching up play. For dog owners choosing between a simple ball and a toy with added grip and sound, the GLQ-2S brings those details into a compact 4.1-inch format.
