AWOOF HJC0121501BW Pet Snuffle Mat, Foldable Treat-Search Toy

Fabric folds create places to tuck away treats or small toys, turning snack time into a scent-search activity for dogs and cats. The AWOOF HJC0121501BW snuffle mat offers a hands-on way to encourage natural foraging and keep pets occupied indoors.

Its non-slip bottom helps keep the mat in place during searching, while the portable design folds into a bowl shape for travel or storage.

The essentials

Instead of placing every treat in a conventional bowl, hide snacks among the mat’s fabric sections and let your pet sniff them out. This changes the pace of feeding and gives a dog or cat an activity built around finding food. The mat is also intended for training, and small toys can be hidden alongside treats to vary the search.

A non-slip underside helps limit movement as a pet explores the fabric. When the activity is finished, the mat folds into a bowl shape, making it easier to put away or bring along. It’s a useful format for adding a familiar enrichment activity at home or while travelling with your pet.

Buyers often describe pets as enjoying the activity, though feedback is mixed on overall quality and how well the mat conceals treats. Some also raise concerns about durability. These experiences make the mat best suited to supervised scent-search sessions, with treats chosen to fit into its fabric folds.

Size & fit

The mat measures 47.8 x 47.8 x 7.9 cm and weighs 141 g. Its broad square layout gives pets room to search across the surface, while the lightweight, foldable design supports carrying and storage. It is listed for cats and dogs, with training as a recommended use.

The cloth construction gives treats and small toys places to tuck into during a search. For a pet that usually eats from a bowl, the mat offers a different way to make part of a meal or treat session more interactive. For a trip, its bowl-shaped fold gives it another practical role beyond use as a flat snuffle mat.

Tips for day-to-day use

Place the mat on an indoor surface, hide a few suitable treats or small toys among the fabric, and let your pet search. Starting with treats that are easy to find can help introduce the activity, hiding them more deeply offers a different search once your pet understands the game. Keep the session focused on sniffing and finding rather than simply presenting the treats in a bowl.

After use, gather the mat by folding it into its bowl shape for storage or travel. Choose this format when you want one portable item that supports both scent-based treat searches and bowl-style use, rather than a standard feeding bowl alone.

Buying verdict

The AWOOF snuffle mat is a practical fit for pet owners looking to make treat time more engaging through natural foraging. Its cloth search surface, non-slip bottom and fold-into-a-bowl design bring together enrichment and portability in one mat. Use it for indoor scent games with a dog or cat, or take advantage of its compact fold when bringing a familiar feeding activity along on a trip.
