ECOELER CDR615C 6-inch Motion Sensor Disk Light, 3 CCT, Adjustable Timer

Some ceiling lights are selected for steady, manual control, this one adds automatic motion activation for indoor spaces. ECOELER’s CDR615C combines a low-profile disk design with a built-in PIR sensor and selectable light colour. Set the shut-off timer to suit a closet, hallway or stairway, then let the light respond when it’s dark and movement is detected.

What to know

This 16 W LED ceiling light is designed for indoor use and provides three colour temperature choices: 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white or 5000K daylight. Change the setting by opening the shade, without taking the entire fixture apart. That gives you a practical way to choose a warmer tone for a storage area or a cooler appearance for a corridor, while keeping the same fixture in place. The light is non-dimmable.

The PIR sensor activates the light when it detects motion in darkness, with a stated sensing distance of 9–16 ft. After movement stops, choose a 30-second, 1-minute or 5-minute countdown for automatic shut-off. This makes the fixture useful in pass-through spaces where switching a light on and off by hand can interrupt what you’re doing. Buyers have also highlighted the illumination, motion response, installation and ability to adjust the light’s settings as useful aspects of the fixture.

How it fits

The round, black disk has a flush-mount ceiling installation and measures 19 × 19 × 5 cm. It can be installed in a 5- or 6-inch recessed can, or a 4- or 6-inch junction box, the product includes accessories for both installation options. The fixture is hardwired and specified for 110–120 V. An E26 adapter, mounting hardware and instruction manual are included, giving you the components for the listed mounting approaches. Its compact, close-to-ceiling form is suited to areas such as closets, hallways, stairways, pantries, garages and storage rooms.

Everyday use

In a closet, the sensor can switch on the light as you enter, leaving your hands free to reach for stored items. In a hallway or stairway, the timed shut-off provides light while you pass through, then turns it off after the selected interval. The sensor’s light detection is intended to restrict activation to darkness, which makes the automatic function relevant to evening and low-light use rather than ordinary daytime movement.

The selectable colour temperatures help adapt the appearance of the lighting to the room without changing fixtures. Choose 3000K for a warmer tone, 4000K for a cooler white or 5000K for daylight-coloured light. For shoppers choosing between a basic manually operated ceiling light and a sensor-based fixture, the CDR615C brings motion activation and a configurable timer together in one ceiling-mounted unit. Its cETL and FCC specifications are also listed for the fixture.

Final verdict

The ECOELER CDR615C is a practical fit for indoor spaces where automatic lighting can make everyday movement easier. Its motion sensing, three selectable colour temperatures and three timer settings let you tailor the light to a closet, passage or stairway, while the included mounting accessories support the stated recessed-can and junction-box installations.
