FRIDEKO HOME L01123-01-30CM Black Sunburst Ceiling Light, 11.22-inch Metal Cage

Some ceiling lights are meant to blend into the room, the FRIDEKO HOME L01123-01-30CM is designed to add a visible decorative feature. Its black metal cage forms a sunburst pattern that casts shapes across the ceiling and walls, bringing visual interest to an entryway, hallway, bedroom or other indoor space.

The semi-flush mount profile keeps the fixture close to the ceiling, while its open cage gives the light a distinctive industrial, farmhouse or vintage-inspired look. It suits spaces where a plain ceiling fixture would feel too understated.

Benefits

The sunburst cage does more than cover the bulb: its open metal design creates a patterned effect when illuminated, adding atmosphere as well as downlighting. A black finish and simple geometric form make it easy to pair with modern, industrial, farmhouse and rustic decor. Use it to give a hallway or entryway a focal point, or to carry a coordinated style into a bedroom, kitchen, laundry room or living area.

The fixture uses one E26 bulb, with a maximum wattage of 60 watts. The product information lists incandescent lighting and also identifies E26 Edison, CFL and LED bulbs as compatible. The bulb is not included, so you can choose a suitable bulb for the room and the look you want. Dimming is possible with a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.

Buyers often highlight the fixture’s appearance and the ambience it creates, including the shadows cast on the ceiling. They also describe setup as straightforward. These comments reflect individual experiences, while the included mounting hardware and instruction manual provide practical help for installation.

Key points

The black shade and canopy are made of metal, with a painted finish. The cage measures 11.22 inches across and 7.08 inches high, the listed overall dimensions are 28.5 x 28.5 x 18 cm. Its semi-flush ceiling mount is suited to rooms where a close-to-ceiling fixture works better than a hanging light. The open bottom also makes the bulb accessible for replacement.

Designed for indoor use, the light operates at 120 volts and directs light downward. The shade is included, the bulb is not. For dimming, use both a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch, which is not included. Rather than choosing a purely functional, visually discreet ceiling light, this fixture is a practical choice when you also want the light itself to contribute to the room’s decor.

Best use cases

Place it in an entryway or hallway to make a compact ceiling area feel more considered, or use it in a bedroom, kitchen, dining room or laundry room for a consistent black-metal accent. Its sunburst effect is most relevant where the pattern on nearby surfaces can add to the room’s ambience. The 11.22-inch cage gives shoppers a clear size reference when planning where it will sit.

Final verdict

A solid pick if you want an indoor ceiling light that combines everyday downlighting with a noticeable decorative pattern. The FRIDEKO HOME’s black metal sunburst cage, semi-flush fit and E26 bulb base make it a considered choice for entryways, hallways and other rooms where a distinctive ceiling fixture can shape the look of the space.
