cleanan Ice Machine Cleaner Tablets, Citric Acid Descaler, 36 Count

Citric acid–based tablets help dissolve limescale and mineral build-up inside standalone ice makers, supporting regular cleaning and fresher-tasting ice. Each tablet is pre-measured for straightforward monthly care. Why handle a liquid cleaner when a tablet can make dosing simpler? Use them with countertop, nugget, portable, under-counter and many commercial ice machines.

The tablets target hard-water minerals, calcium and limescale in internal lines and around the evaporator grid. By reducing mineral build-up and musty odours, routine cleaning can help keep ice tasting fresh and support the machine’s ice-making performance. The 36-tablet pack provides up to 1.5 years of routine maintenance when used monthly.

Everyday compatibility

These tablets are intended for standalone ice makers, including countertop, nugget or pebble, portable and under-counter units, as well as many commercial machines. They are not for refrigerator ice dispensers. Check your machine’s manual for its cleaning instructions before starting, so the cycle and care steps suit your particular unit.

For households that make ice regularly, a recurring cleaning routine can help address mineral residue before it accumulates. The same tablet format also suits shared spaces and food-service settings that use standalone ice machines. Compared with liquid descalers, pre-measured tablets offer a tidy way to portion the cleaner without estimating a pour. Buyers often describe the tablets as easy to use and say the ice tastes better after cleaning, feedback about odour is mixed.

How to use it

Add one or two tablets to the water reservoir, following the ice maker’s manual, then run the machine’s cleaning cycle twice. Drain and rinse the machine, then wipe it dry. Keeping to a monthly routine gives the tablets a regular role in machine care, while the measured format makes each cleaning session easier to prepare. Follow the appliance’s own directions for accessing its reservoir and starting the cleaning cycle.

What to clarify

Which ice makers can I use these tablets with? They are designed for standalone countertop, nugget or pebble, portable and under-counter ice makers, plus many commercial units. They are not intended for refrigerator ice dispensers.
