ChangM 4-Inch Smart Recessed LED Downlights, 6-Pack, Bluetooth, Alexa and Colour Tuning
Product description
The listed 4-inch format combines recessed LED lighting with Bluetooth app control, adjustable white colour temperature and multicolour settings. This six-pack is designed for ceiling installation and can provide everyday white light or switch to colour and dynamic modes for a different room atmosphere.
The lights are controlled through the BRmesh app or, with a compatible amazon Alexa speaker, by voice. They do not require a hub or internet connection for app control, according to the product details.
Everyday use
For daily lighting, you can adjust the white setting from 2700K to 6000K and dim brightness from 1% to 100%. That gives you options for a softer setting in the evening or brighter light for reading and other tasks. When the room needs a more decorative look, the app offers colour choices, saved scenes and dynamic modes, including music synchronization.
In a kitchen, bedroom or living area, group control can make it easier to adjust several lights together rather than changing each one individually. You can also organize lights into separate room groups. Compared with basic recessed lights that provide a fixed white setting, these offer more control over colour and ambience, the trade-off is managing them through an app or supported voice control.
Benefits
The main appeal is flexibility in a single recessed fixture: adjustable white light for regular use, plus colour and effects for parties, seasonal decorating or a home-theatre setup. A practical scenario is setting the group to a consistent white tone for everyday activity, then switching to a saved colour scene when the room is being used for entertainment.
Buyer feedback is generally positive about brightness, colour selection, app-based changes and installation. Comments are mixed on fit, and some buyers mention remote-control use. However, the product details specify app control and say a remote is not included, so a phone is the stated control option apart from Alexa. Worth considering if adjustable ambience matters as much as ordinary room lighting. It may not suit you if you need Google Home, HomeKit or Matter support, or want to use a dimmer switch, those are listed as unsupported.

Practical questions
Can the lights be controlled without internet? The product information says the BRmesh app connects over Bluetooth and does not require a wireless network, hub or gateway.
Can they work with Google Home or a dimmer switch? No. The listing says Google Home, HomeKit, HomePod and Matter are unsupported, and advises against using a dimmer switch.
What should I check before installation? Compare the ceiling hole diameter and clearance with the stated 3.5–4.7-inch opening range and clearance greater than 1.57 inches. Also note the 4.7-inch outer diameter.
Buying verdict
Choose this ChangM set if you want recessed lighting that can move between adjustable white light and app-controlled colour effects, with Alexa as an additional control route. Its clearest advantage over a conventional fixed-white downlight is the extra scene and colour flexibility. The installation measurements and control restrictions are important decision points: buyers who need a particular smart-home platform, physical remote or dimmer-switch operation should look for a set that explicitly supports those requirements.
