HyperX Clutch Gladiate 6L366AA Wired Xbox Controller with Trigger Locks

Tech summary

Dual trigger locks let you choose between shorter pulls for faster actions and longer pulls when a trigger needs a more measured press. That adjustability gives the HyperX Clutch Gladiate a practical edge for players who want their controls to suit the game, rather than using the same trigger feel for every situation.

This officially licensed wired controller is compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Its programmable rear buttons can be assigned to actions such as thumb stick clicks, putting frequently used inputs closer to hand. Dual rumble motors add tactile feedback during play, while textured grips help you maintain a secure hold.

If your priority is direct access to extra controls, the programmable rear buttons are a useful draw, if you prefer a more immersive feel, the dual rumble motors add another layer of feedback. The controller brings both approaches together in one wired design.

Best use cases

The Clutch Gladiate is suited to Xbox and PC gaming where a wired controller with configurable inputs is the preferred setup. Set the trigger locks for shorter pulls when quick actions matter, or retain longer pulls for games that benefit from more controlled trigger movement. The rear buttons can be configured for actions such as thumb stick clicks, reducing the need to move your thumbs away from the sticks to reach those inputs.

Rumble adds physical cues from in-game events such as shots, impacts and engine revs, helping make play feel more connected to what is happening on screen. Textured grips support a steady hold during longer sessions. For headset use, the 3.5mm stereo port provides a direct connection point, with audio and microphone routing through the controller.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose the trigger-lock position to match the type of action you play most, then configure the rear buttons around the inputs you want close at hand. This makes the controls easier to tailor between games or play styles. The detachable USB-C cable is designed to help prevent damage from abrupt snags or pulls, and the Share button provides a convenient way to share gaming highlights.

Is it worth it?

The HyperX Clutch Gladiate brings together practical control adjustments and tactile feedback in a wired controller for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It suits you if you want to customise trigger travel, map useful actions to rear buttons and connect a wired headset directly. For players choosing between a straightforward controller and one with more ways to tailor inputs, its trigger locks and programmable buttons provide a clear reason to choose the latter, while rumble and textured grips round out the experience for everyday gaming.
