ZURU Swimming Penguin Toy 2-Pack

Families looking for a playful bath-time distraction may like the idea of a penguin that moves through the water instead of sitting on the tub ledge.

This set is identified as a 2-pack, with water-activated swimming and gliding action powered by a battery-powered motor.

It’s also designed for pool play, so the same toy can move from a nightly bath to a splashy afternoon outside. What’s less clear is which penguin colors come in the pack.

How to use it

Place the penguins in water and they’re designed to spring into action when they touch the surface. Their swimming and gliding movement gives kids something to follow, while the penguin theme leaves room for pretend play: a child can make the tub an Arctic setting or invent a small pool adventure. That’s a more interactive approach than a basic bath toy that only floats or sits still.

The description names pools and baths as use cases, but doesn’t give dimensions. If you have a compact tub or a small play area, it may be harder to picture how much room the penguins need without that measurement. The motor is battery powered, but the listing doesn’t specify the battery type or whether batteries are included, so that’s worth factoring in before playtime.

Pros

• Water activation means the penguins respond when they touch the surface, rather than needing a separate play setup.
• Swimming and gliding add movement for kids to watch and follow during bath or pool time.
• The imaginative-play angle gives children a simple prompt for making up stories, not just watching a toy move.
• The product is presented as a 2-pack, and the wider collection has three designs: pink, blue, and black.

One practical unknown: the description doesn’t say which colors are in the pack. If a particular penguin matters to your child, don’t assume the pictured or preferred color is included. You’ll appreciate it if you want a water toy with movement and a pretend-play hook, It may not suit you if you need a clearly specified color selection or battery details before buying.

When it makes sense

This set makes the most sense for a child who enjoys water play and would get a kick out of seeing a small toy move as soon as it hits the surface. For example, during bath time, a child could place the penguins in the water, follow their movement, and build a pretend Arctic scene around them. It’s a livelier choice than a stationary bath toy, but it isn’t described as a general-purpose toy for play outside the water.

You’ll appreciate it if water-triggered action is the main draw and the unspecified colors aren’t a dealbreaker. If you’re comparing it with a simpler floating toy, the penguins offer movement, if your priority is choosing an exact design or knowing battery requirements in advance, the listing leaves those details open.
