Rubies Garfield Kids' Costume, Large

If the goal is a recognizable character look rather than a mix-and-match outfit, this Rubies Garfield costume keeps the main pieces together: a jumpsuit and a separate headpiece. It is officially licensed and aimed at kids, with a listed boys' Large size (10/12). The key shopping detail is fit: the product notes that costumes run smaller than regular apparel, so a child who is between sizes may need extra thought before choosing.

Best use cases

This costume is suited to Halloween, themed parties, festivals, and cosplay events—the occasions listed for it all call for a complete character outfit rather than everyday clothing. Picture a child arriving at a school costume event in the jumpsuit, with the headpiece finishing the Garfield look, the attached hand covers help keep the costume pieces coordinated. It can also work for a dress-up occasion at home, though the listed use cases are events and celebrations rather than regular wear.

Worth considering if you want a one-character costume with its main pieces included and would rather not assemble the look from separate clothing and accessories. It may not suit you if you need a precise fit based on garment measurements: none are provided in the product details, and the sizing note warns that costumes tend to run smaller than apparel. Check the child's usual clothing size against the stated boys' Large (10/12) designation rather than assuming it fits like a regular Large.

Product specs

The set includes a jumpsuit and a separate headpiece. The jumpsuit has attached hand covers and a hook-and-loop closure at the back. The costume is officially licensed Garfield merchandise, and the listed size is boys' Large (10/12). Although the product name calls it unisex, the supplied size guidance is specifically expressed as a boys' size, so that is the clearest fit information available.

No fabric, care instructions, or garment measurements are included in the supplied details. That leaves practical questions about material and exact fit unanswered, if those matter for a particular event, the sizing note is more useful than relying on the label alone. Without having tried it, the most grounded expectation is a themed costume set with a simple back closure, not a detailed fit promise.

Where it shines

The main appeal is convenience: the jumpsuit and headpiece create a coordinated Garfield costume without needing to source the core pieces separately. Attached hand covers also mean the hands are part of the costume design, rather than another item to match. For a short Halloween outing or a themed gathering, that can make it easier to get the character look together quickly.

What matters more here: a complete character outfit, or detailed sizing information? This set puts the emphasis on the former. Compared with building a costume from everyday clothes and separate accessories, it offers a more direct, character-specific route, compared with a purchase that lists garment measurements and material details, it gives less information for judging fit and construction. The hook-and-loop closure is a practical detail, but the available description does not explain how the costume should be cleaned or how roomy the jumpsuit is.

Buying verdict

Choose this Rubies Garfield costume if the licensed character design, included jumpsuit and headpiece, and event-ready format match what the child wants. The strongest reason to pause is sizing: the listed boys' Large is 10/12, and the brand notes that costumes run smaller than apparel. If the child is near the edge of their usual size or you need a dependable fit for a long event, the missing garment measurements make this a less certain choice. For a costume occasion where a coordinated Garfield look matters more than detailed material or fit information, the included pieces make the purpose clear.
