Japard Foldable Swimming Pool, 102-Inch
Product description
Families looking for a backyard splash spot for kids, with room for adults to join in, may appreciate this foldable, non-inflatable pool. Its large rectangular footprint and reinforced side panels are meant for casual water play without the setup step of pumping up an inflatable pool.
Unfold it, fill it, and the pool is ready for a warm afternoon outside. The trade-off is that it still takes up a substantial area while in use, even though it folds flat for storage.
Quick sizing guide
At 102 by 64 inches, this is an XL rectangular pool rather than a small toddler basin. The sides are 20 inches high, but the recommended water depth is 15.7 inches, so plan around a shallow-play experience rather than swimming or deep-water lounging. The listed capacity is approximately 450 gallons at that recommended depth.
Picture filling it for a backyard afternoon: kids can sit and splash while an adult cools off nearby. If you have a smaller yard, measure the space you can spare before choosing a pool this size, the advertised dimensions describe the pool itself, not extra room around it.
Pros
The main convenience is the setup. Unlike an inflatable model, this one needs no air pump and no time spent inflating or deflating it. The three-layer PVC construction and triangular side support panels are intended to help it resist everyday wear and hold its shape during water play. That makes it a different proposition from a basic inflatable: you trade air-filled walls for a foldable frame-style design.
Drainage is another practical plus. Two bottom drain holes and a side drain valve give water more than one exit point, while the included drain tube can help guide it away from the pool. After use, the stated routine is to drain and dry the inside, then fold the pool in half for flatter storage.
Worth considering if you want a seasonal backyard pool that avoids inflation and can be put away between uses. It may not suit you if you need a deeper pool for swimming or a compact basin that occupies very little ground space when set up.
Spec sheet
- Type: Foldable, non-inflatable swimming pool
- Dimensions: 102 x 64 x 20 inches
- Recommended water depth: 15.7 inches
- Capacity: Approximately 450 gallons at the recommended depth
- Material: Three-layer PVC, including a mesh PVC layer
- Drainage: Two bottom drain holes, one side drain valve, and a connectable drain tube
On the spec sheet, the 20-inch side height is not the recommended fill level. The manufacturer lists 15.7 inches of water depth, a useful distinction when estimating how shallow the play area will feel. The supplied information does not give a packed-away footprint, so storage space will depend on how you fold and store it.
Final verdict
This Japard pool makes the most sense for households that have room for a large rectangular setup and want straightforward seasonal use without an air pump. Its reinforced PVC construction, multiple drain points, and fold-flat design address common hassles of backyard pools, but they do not turn it into a swimming pool for deeper water. Choose it for shallow family splashing and easier packing away, look elsewhere if the priority is swimming depth or a smaller setup.
