ZenBeam ASP1 LED Desk Lamp with Clamp, 5 Color Temperatures and Dimming

Tech summary

A clamp-mounted design keeps the lamp attached to the desk edge, leaving the work surface more open for books, a keyboard, or craft supplies. Its flexible gooseneck lets you aim the light at a reading area or workbench, while touch controls provide several ways to adjust the output. It suits people who want a positionable task light, a conventional lamp with a broad base may be a better fit if you prefer not to clamp anything to your desk.

Everyday use

For reading, studying, sewing, drawing, or desk work, the adjustable head and arm make it possible to direct the light toward the task rather than relying on a fixed beam. A short touch changes among five brightness levels, while a longer touch adjusts brightness continuously. The five color-temperature settings offer another way to tailor the light to the activity or room. A memory function is listed as restoring the previous settings when the lamp is turned on again.

The clamp has silicone pads intended to protect the desk surface and help keep the lamp in place. The stated fit is for desktops up to 2.2 inches wide, so measure the desk edge before choosing this mounting style. It makes sense if you need flexible task lighting without giving up much desk space. Not the best choice if your desk edge is thicker than the clamp's stated capacity or you want a lamp that stands independently on a base.

Customers describe the light as bright enough for work areas and appreciate the dimming, multiple settings, and ease of setup. Some also mention positioning it over monitors. These are buyer impressions rather than a guarantee of how it will suit every desk or lighting setup. The product description also presents the light as flicker-free and designed to reduce glare and blue light, those claims may matter to shoppers who spend long periods reading or working, but individual comfort can vary.

In the box

The listed contents include the desk lamp and a 12V/1A adapter, so the power adapter is part of the stated package. The lamp is intended for indoor use and is described as easy to install. Its corded power setup makes it a fit for a workspace with a suitable outlet nearby, rather than a spot where cordless placement is a priority.

When it makes sense

The ZenBeam ASP1 is worth considering when you want a wide LED bar, adjustable positioning, and both stepped and continuous brightness control in a clamp-on format. It can serve a home workstation, study area, or hobby desk where keeping the surface clear is useful. Compared with a basic fixed-position desk light, it offers more control over aim and light settings, compared with a freestanding lamp, its main tradeoff is dependence on a compatible desk edge. Choose it for a clamp-friendly workspace and adaptable task lighting, and look at a base-mounted design if clamping is not practical.
