Dott Arts DL-701 LED Desk Lamp with 5 Color Modes and USB-A/C Ports

Choosing a desk lamp often comes down to whether you need simple task lighting or a more adaptable setup for reading, desk work, and winding down. The Dott Arts DL-701 combines touch controls, five color modes, three brightness levels, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, and a separate soft night light in one indoor lamp.

Its folding arm and adjustable base let you direct the light toward a book, craft, or work surface, then fold the lamp for storage when it is not in use. It runs on corded electric power, so it needs to stay near an outlet.

Usage tips

Use the touch control to cycle through the five color modes and choose one of the three brightness levels for the task at hand. The cooler white setting is described for work, study, and reading, the small warm night light offers a softer option near a bed. The main lamp and the night light serve different purposes, so this setup can work for both desk tasks and a gentler bedside glow without treating them as the same kind of illumination.

The arm folds and moves through a stated 230° range, while the base axis adjusts by 90°. Aim the light at the page or work area rather than directly toward a screen. When desk space is tight or the lamp needs to be put away, fold it down. Its USB-A and USB-C ports can keep compatible devices close by while the lamp is in use, the listed port output is 5V/2.1A.

Pros

The main buying advantage is flexibility in a compact desk-lamp format: touch adjustment, multiple light colors, three brightness levels, and a separate night light cover several everyday lighting needs. The USB ports add a convenient charging point at the desk or bedside, and the included adapter means the package includes a power adapter as well as a USB cable and user guide.

Buyer feedback commonly highlights the adjustable brightness, compact footprint, and usefulness on smaller desks. Some also appreciate the appearance and the night-light function. Those comments can help indicate what owners value, but they do not establish that the lamp will suit every room or lighting preference.

Worth noting

This is an indoor, corded lamp, and it is not water-resistant, it is intended for a dry desk, study area, or bedside table rather than outdoor or damp use. The product information lists a single LED light source and 8 watts of power. It does not give a lumen output, so the brightness cannot be compared precisely with another lamp from the listed specifications alone.

Compared with a basic fixed desk light, the DL-701 offers more adjustment and charging access in one unit. A buyer who needs a specific measured light output or a water-resistant fixture should look for those requirements explicitly, since they are not established here. It makes sense if you want one touch-controlled lamp for reading, desk tasks, and a small night light. You may want to skip it if your setup requires a cordless or water-resistant lamp.

Practical questions

Can the lamp be adjusted for different tasks? Yes. It offers five color modes, three brightness levels, touch control, and a folding, adjustable arm for directing the light.

Can it charge devices? It has USB-A and USB-C ports listed at 5V/2.1A. The product information does not specify charging times or compatibility with particular devices.

What comes in the package? The listed components are the LED desk lamp, a USB cable, an adapter, and a user guide.

Final verdict

The Dott Arts DL-701 is a practical fit for a dry indoor desk or nightstand where adjustable lighting and nearby USB charging are useful. Its multiple light modes and folding design make it more adaptable than a fixed, single-setting lamp, while the corded power and lack of a stated lumen rating matter if placement or measured brightness is central to your decision. Choose it for flexible everyday desk and bedside lighting, not for outdoor use or a specified light-output requirement.
