YiaMia LZ040-4 Rechargeable LED Tea Lights, 12-Pack with Remote and Timer

At 1.5" in diameter and 1.81" high, these YiaMia tea lights are compact enough for many votive holders and tabletop displays. The 12-piece set uses plastic LED candles with a magnetic charging base. A remote offers timer, brightness, and flicker or steady-light controls. Could that replace the routine of swapping disposable batteries?

Tips for day-to-day use

Switch on each candle at its base before using the remote. From there, you can turn the lights on or off, choose flickering or continuous illumination, adjust brightness from 10% to 100%, or set a 2-, 4-, 6-, or 8-hour timer. The timer repeats a daily on-and-off cycle: for example, a 6-hour setting turns the candles off for the remaining 18 hours before the next cycle.

The charging base is designed to recharge the set magnetically, and the product information states a 2–3-hour charging time with a compatible 5V/6A charging setup. The built-in 500 mAh batteries are rated for 100+ hours of continuous glow per charge. Actual runtime will depend on how the lights are used, so treat that figure as a stated specification rather than a guarantee for every brightness or mode.

The package is described as including 12 LED candles, a charging base, two remotes, a USB cable, and a manual. Keep the candles together for charging, then arrange them in holders or across a dining table, mantel, or other indoor display. They are listed for indoor use, outdoor placement is not established by the product details.

Benefits

These are flameless decorative lights, so they provide an LED glow without a burning wick or dripping wax. The remote and repeating timer are useful when the candles are placed in several holders or are part of a regular evening setup. Rechargeability also means the intended routine is to return the candles to the base rather than replace their batteries.

You’ll appreciate it if you want multiple matching accent lights with adjustable brightness and both flicker and steady modes. In buyer feedback, people commonly praise the soft glow, remote control, and ability to recharge, some also mention using the lights in small decorative holders. Those impressions may help set expectations, but holder fit still depends on the holder’s dimensions.

Compared with basic battery-powered tea lights, this set adds a charging base, remote operation, and timer cycling. A simpler battery-operated set may suit someone who prefers not to keep a charging base on hand, while this one is geared toward reusing the same 12 lights for recurring displays.

Worth noting

The candles are made of plastic and use LED lighting, so they are decorative substitutes for real candles rather than wax candles with an actual flame. The listed dimensions can help when planning a display, but they do not confirm a fit for every votive holder. The product is identified as an indoor item, and the water-resistance information is inconsistent, so it should not be treated as suitable for wet locations.

The listing gives a 100+ hour runtime and 2–3-hour charging time, but does not specify how those figures vary by brightness or lighting mode. Not the best choice if you need real candlelight or a product explicitly established for outdoor or wet use.

Final verdict

The YiaMia LZ040-4 is worth considering for indoor decorating when a coordinated set of 12 rechargeable lights, remote controls, and a repeating timer are more useful than disposable-battery simplicity. Its compact stated dimensions make it relevant for small displays, and the choice of flicker or steady light adds flexibility. Choose another approach if real flame, confirmed outdoor suitability, or guaranteed fit for a particular holder is essential.
