WINONLY door stopper Magnetic Door Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel, Silver

The magnetic catch helps keep an interior door open when a breeze or everyday movement might otherwise swing it shut. Its spring-buffered soft catch absorbs some closing force, helping reduce hard contact with the wall. Choose adhesive tape for a no-drill setup on a suitable surface, or screws for a fixed mount.

Key takeaways

This single-piece door holder combines a magnetic catch with a spring buffer. The magnet holds the door open, and a gentle tug releases it when you want the door closed again. That makes it useful for maintaining airflow between rooms while still allowing you to close the door as needed.

The brushed stainless steel finish gives the silver stop a clean, understated look. Buyers often praise its appearance, functionality, and ease of installation. Feedback on magnet strength and adhesive performance is mixed, so choose the mounting method with your surface and everyday use in mind.

Size & fit

The stop measures 3.93 inches long by 2.15 inches wide by 2.15 inches thick. It is designed for wall or floor mounting, giving you flexibility to position the catch where it can meet the door. Consider the door’s swing and the available mounting surface when choosing its placement, so the magnetic holder can engage naturally as the door opens.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a no-drill installation, use the adhesive tape only on a smooth, flat, dry surface. The product guidance advises against adhesive mounting on drywall, cement, latex-painted walls, or uneven surfaces. If you prefer a screw-mounted setup, use the screw option instead, adhesive tape can be affected by the magnet’s repeated daily pull, and removal may damage some surfaces.

Once installed, the magnetic catch is intended to hold the door open and release with a tug. The spring buffer helps soften contact when the door closes against the stop, which can be useful in busy rooms where doors are opened and shut throughout the day. How do you want the holder to fit your space: a no-drill placement on a suitable surface, or a screw-mounted attachment?

Is it worth it?

This WINONLY stop is a practical choice when you want a door holder that does more than simply block the door: its magnetic catch keeps the door open, while the spring-buffered design softens contact when it closes. The one-piece silver stainless steel unit suits everyday interior use in places such as a home, dorm, or office. It offers two mounting approaches, so you can prioritize a no-drill installation on an appropriate surface or choose screws for a more permanent setup.
